With the RV 10 digital V Starter Solution, the drive unit takes on the digital control level, with a motorised lift instead of a manual lift, but without the additional automatic vacuum control of the auto level. If you prefer automatic vacuum control and coated glassware, the IKA Rotary Evaporator RV 10 auto pro V-C offers the auto level of the same size, but there without recirculating chiller and stand in the set. With the Starter Solution package, this comparison is no longer necessary: the VACSTAR lite with an ultimate pressure of 9 mbar and a delivery rate of up to 1.0 cubic metre per hour is already matched at the factory to the RV 10 digital FLEX drive unit together with the VC 10 lite vacuum controller, as is the RC 2 lite recirculating chiller to the cooling surface of the 1500 square centimetre vertical condenser. Use, installation and maintenance

The drive unit is designed for ambient temperatures of 5 to 40 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of up to 80 percent, protection class IP 20 according to DIN EN 60529. As the set consists of several independent devices, namely drive, vacuum pump, vacuum controller and recirculating chiller, a laboratory bench with sufficient space and a separate mains connection for the recirculating chiller is recommended, as its power consumption is separate from that of the drive unit, which is specified at up to 1400 watts at 220 to 240 volts. The VC 10.400 stand serves as the mechanical base for the glassware set and accessories and should be checked for a firm stance before first use. The RV 10.5005 hose set connects the vacuum pump, controller and cooling water circuit and should be replaced in good time if visibly worn, in order to maintain the vacuum tightness of the system.
