Precise viscosity measurement for highly viscous samples

The IKA ROTAVISC SBS hi-vi I HELI Complete is a high-performance rotational viscometer specially developed for demanding measurements in highly viscous media. With an extremely wide measuring range of 200 to 80,000,000 mPas, it is perfectly suited to pastes, ointments, gels and polymer melts. The “Complete” package offers a ready-to-use solution including the innovative HELISTAND™ motorised stand, which enables the measurement of non-flowing samples through a slow up-and-down movement, thereby preventing channeling in the medium.

Ball bearing technology for continuous load

The abbreviation “SBS” (Steel Ball Bearing, Suspended) refers to this instrument’s special bearing technology. Equipped with a robust ball bearing system instead of a conventional jewel bearing system, the ROTAVISC SBS is extremely durable. This makes it ideal for demanding continuous use in quality control, as well as for applications where frequent spindle changes or rough handling are the order of the day – without compromising on precision.

Maximum functionality and documentation

The instrument features a generous 4.3" TFT display with intuitive menu navigation. Functions such as the ramp function, Newtonian/non-Newtonian analysis, and the direct display of viscosity, torque, shear rate and shear stress simplify day-to-day work. The viscometer can be connected directly to a PC via the USB or RS 232 interface to control measurement series using the optional labworldsoft ® 6 software and to document them in accordance with ISO standards.
