Mechanical power in two gears

At the heart of the RW 20 digital is its powerful motor with mechanical control. Unlike purely electronic stirrers, this model features a manually selectable gearbox with two speed ranges.

• Range I (60 – 500 rpm): This ‘power range’ delivers an extremely high torque of up to 150 Ncm directly to the shaft. Ideal for highly viscous media up to 10,000 mPas, pastes or larger volumes that require vigorous mixing.
• Range II (240 – 2,000 rpm): The ‘high-speed range’ is perfect for low-viscosity media and rapid dispersion at high speeds.

The mode is switched using a traditional lever on the front of the unit. Despite the mechanical power transmission, the motor operates stably even under load changes thanks to its constant-power drive.

Precision through digital display

Whilst the power transmission remains mechanically robust, the integrated LED digital display on the front ensures reproducible processes. You can read the current speed accurately at any time, which significantly simplifies process monitoring compared to older models without a display.

Ergonomics and functionality in detail

The design of the RW 20 digital is slim and space-saving, ensuring it fits even into compact laboratory set-ups. A particularly practical feature for everyday use is the through-shaft (hollow shaft). This allows you to adjust the height of the stirrer in the chuck (clamping range 0.5–10 mm) without having to move the stirrer unit itself on the stand. This makes it easy to change stirring vessels or vary the immersion depth (note: the shaft may only be adjusted when the unit is at a standstill).
