The S 25 KV - 25 G (0002466900) is designed for operation under vacuum and can be used at temperatures of up to 220 °C for short periods. It features ball bearings and a mechanical seal; the specifications are a vacuum of 1 mbar and a maximum pressure of 6 bar. The working range is 50 to 2,000 ml.
Sealing and Bearing Arrangement
The unit is supported by ball bearings and a mechanical seal. The counter ring and sliding ring are made of SiC, whilst Kalrez seals are used as O-rings. Materials in contact with the product are FFPM, SiC, AISI 316L and AISI 302. The unit is suitable for use with solvents and can be sterilised using all methods.
Dimensions and process parameters
The stator has a diameter of 25 mm, the rotor 17 mm; the gap width is 0.5 mm. Speeds of up to 25,000 rpm are permitted, resulting in a maximum circumferential speed of 22.2 m/s. The immersion depth ranges from 40 to 225 mm with an installation length of 270 mm, allowing access to deeper vessels or reactors. The final fineness ranges from 15 to 50 µm for suspensions and 1 to 10 µm for emulsions. The tool weighs 0.6 kg.
Drives and related models
Suitable drives include the T 25 digital, T 25 easy clean digital and control, and the T 25 digital LR. It is also designed for use with the LR 1000 basic and control systems and for several LR-2.ST laboratory reactors. The finer version (suspensions 5 to 25 µm, emulsions 1 to 5 µm, 100 to 2,000 ml) is called the S 25 KV - 25 F. The S 25 KV - 25 G - IL is available for in-line operation on the UTL 25. For vacuum down to 100 mbar and operating temperatures up to 150 °C, the S 25 KD - 25 G ST is also available.

Fits
A batch of formulation in a beaker, an emulsion in a 500-millilitre flask, a batch of cell suspension for sample preparation: the T 25 digital ULTRA-TURRAX is the classic drive unit for all tasks in everyday laboratory work involving volumes between 1 millilitre and 2 litres. It covers a speed range from 3,000 to 25,000 revolutions per minute and is supplied as a drive unit only, without a dispersing tool, so that each laboratory can choose the appropriate tool geometry itself.Electronic speed control for reproducible batchesThe speed can be adjusted continuously between 3,000 and 25,000 rpm, with a deviation of just 1 per cent. An LED display shows the set value directly, whilst electronic overload protection and an error code display ensure reliable operation. Without an attachment fitted, the unit remains comparatively quiet at 75 dB(A); the maximum viscosity is 5,000 mPas. For batches that alternate between low- and medium-viscosity phases, the speed can be readjusted at any time during the process without switching off the unit.Compact drive for the laboratory benchMeasuring 87 x 271 x 106 millimetres and weighing 2.5 kilograms, the T 25 digital takes up little bench space; the arm measures 13 millimetres in diameter and 160 millimetres in length. The power input is 800 watts, whilst the power output is 500 watts. The unit operates at 220 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz; a voltage variant of 100 to 120 volts is also available. The T 25 easy clean digital ULTRA-TURRAX is the drive unit in the IKA T 25 easy clean series, designed for laboratories that need to clean quickly and thoroughly between batches. The tool can be opened for cleaning without having to completely dismantle the rotor-stator unit, which saves time when changing products frequently and prevents cross-contamination. A dispersing tool is not included with the unit; it is selected separately to suit the specific application.The easy-clean principle in practiceTools in the easy-clean series are identified by the abbreviation ‘EC’ in their name and can be opened for cleaning without the need to dismantle the entire drive unit. This saves users the time-consuming process of changing tools and completely dismantling the unit when, for example, they are processing a cosmetic emulsion in the morning and a different formulation in the afternoon. A brushless DC motor drives the tool, which reduces carbon dust in the cleanroom and keeps operation comparatively quiet at 70 dB(A) when no tool is fitted.Display, timer and operationThe speed is shown on an LED display and can be adjusted continuously between 3,000 and 25,000 revolutions per minute with a tolerance of 2 per cent. A built-in timer with its own LED display manages recurring process times, meaning a batch does not need to be stopped manually.
