The IKA S 25 N - 25 F (MPN 0001713800) is a high-performance dispersing tool specially developed for applications where particularly fine particle sizes are required. Compatible with the drive units of the IKA T 25 series (e.g. T 25 digital, T 25 easy clean), this tool transforms your disperser into a precision instrument for demanding emulsification and suspension tasks. It covers a working range from 100 ml to 2,000 ml (H₂O), making it the ideal all-rounder for medium-sized laboratory batches.

The “F” makes all the difference: rotor-stator geometry for fine results

At IKA, the designation “F” stands for “Fine”. In contrast to the standard version (“G”=“Coarse”), this tool features a specially designed rotor-stator geometry with narrower slots and smaller clearance dimensions. This results in higher shear rates and more intensive mechanical processing of the sample. The result is significantly smaller particle sizes and more stable emulsions. This makes the S 25 N - 25 F ideal for the production of creams and lotions in cosmetic development, the homogenisation of dairy products, or the fine grinding of fibrous samples that have already been pre-ground.

PTFE bearings (“N”) for universal resistance

The “N” in the model designation indicates the type of bearing used: high-quality PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is employed here. PTFE bearings are characterised by their excellent chemical resistance to almost all acids, alkalis and solvents. They also minimise heat build-up in the bearing area. Note: Tools with PTFE bearings are ideal for liquid applications, but must never be run dry, as the bearing is lubricated and cooled by the medium. Running the bearing dry would destroy it immediately.

Material Quality and Hygiene

All parts in contact with the medium are made from high-quality stainless steel (AISI 316L). This material is not only extremely corrosion-resistant but also meets the high hygiene requirements of the pharmaceutical and food industries. The tool is designed for operating temperatures of up to 180 °C and can be easily dismantled for cleaning and sterilisation. It is compatible with all standard sterilisation methods – including autoclaving (wet sterilisation) – which guarantees sterile operation in microbiological applications.

Easy handling and maintenance

Thanks to its standardised shank design, the S 25 N - 25 F can be mounted quickly and securely onto T 25 drives. Cleaning is straightforward thanks to its well-thought-out design: the tool can be dismantled into its individual parts in just a few simple steps to remove all residues and reliably prevent cross-contamination.
