A vacuum down to 1 mbar and a pressure up to 6 bar are among the features that distinguish the S 65 KG - HH - G 65 G (0010010765) from the ceramic tool S 65 C - G 65 G. Both have a 65 mm stator and process 2 to 50 l on the T 65. Here, a single-acting mechanical seal made of carbide against carbide is fitted to the ball-bearing-mounted shaft.
Construction and materials
Materials in contact with the product include FFPM, tungsten carbide (WC) and AISI 316L. The tool is solvent-resistant and FDA-compliant; the pH range is 2 to 13. Operating temperatures of up to 170 °C are permissible for short periods, and it can be sterilised using all methods.
Dimensions
The rotor draws in the medium and forces it radially through the stator slots. The rotor has a diameter of 53 mm with a gap width of 0.5 mm; the maximum permissible speed is 9,500 rpm, resulting in a circumferential speed of 26.4 m/s. The installation length is 520 mm, the dimensions are 65 x 560 x 65 mm, and the weight is 4.03 kg. The final particle size is between 25 and 75 µm for suspensions and between 5 and 25 µm for emulsions.

Fits
The T 65 digital ULTRA-TURRAX is designed for the transition from the laboratory to the pilot plant, for batches of 2 to 50 litres (H₂O) with a power consumption of 2,600 watts. Unlike the smaller units in the T series, it does not run on a single-phase laboratory power supply, but requires a three-phase connection of 3 x 400 volts, which must be installed by a qualified electrician. Anyone planning this connection should take this into account at the installation stage.For the transition from laboratory to pilot plantThree different rotor-stator geometries cover a range of applications from fine dispersion to coarse pre-comminution; a plug-in coupling allows tool changes to be made on the drive without the need for additional tools. Depending on the configuration, the stainless steel dispersing tools can also be used under vacuum and overpressure, provided the relevant accessories are designed for this purpose. The speed range extends from 1,000 to 9,500 rpm with a tolerance of 3 per cent, displayed via a 7-segment LED display; an error code display assists with troubleshooting during operation.Performance data for high throughputsWith a power input of 2,600 watts and an output power of 2,200 watts, the T 65 digital significantly outperforms the smaller T 25 and T 50 models; the maximum viscosity is 5,000 mPas.
