The principle: grinding, transporting, storing – without cleaning

In conventional laboratory mills, the grinding jars and blades have to be laboriously cleaned and sterilised after every run. 1. Grinding: You load the sample, place the tube on the drive unit and grind.
2. Transport/storage: After grinding, remove the beaker. It can then be used immediately as a sealed storage container.
3. Disposal: Once the sample has been removed, the beaker is disposed of (or recycled in the case of non-critical samples). A cleaning validation, as is often required in GMP areas, is completely unnecessary for the grinding components. This results in massive cost savings and reduces the documentation burden.

Whilst the ‘Tube Mill 100 control’ base unit provides the drive, you’ll receive a starter pack of grinding jars, designed for a wide range of volumes. The grinding jars are made of transparent material, allowing you to visually monitor the grinding process at any time. They are highly durable and can withstand even heavy impacts from the stainless steel blade.

The Tube Mill 100 is equipped with a powerful motor, which can be adjusted continuously from 5,000 to 25,000 revolutions per minute . With a power output of 100 watts, the machine effortlessly grinds hard (up to Mohs 5), brittle, dry and soft materials – from tablets and coated tablets to cereal grains, leaves and bone material. The clear OLED display guides you through all the settings:

• Timer function: Set the grinding time precisely from 5 seconds to 3 minutes.
• Interval mode: For heat-sensitive samples. The machine pauses briefly to allow the sample to cool down and settle, before continuing.
• Programmable sequences: Save frequently used grinding parameters (SOPs) to ensure 100% reproducibility.

Safety first

Safety is crucial, particularly when handling potentially toxic or infectious samples. The Tube Mill 100 only starts if the grinding jar is correctly fitted and the safety hood is closed.
