JULABO SW23: Maximum precision thanks to integrated circulation

The JULABO SW23 (MPN 9550323.03) is the top-of-the-range solution amongst shaking water baths. Whilst standard units often rely solely on the movement of the shaking mechanism for heat distribution, the SW23 goes a decisive step further: it combines the shaking function with integrated bath circulation. The result is outstanding temperature stability of ±0.02 °C and absolutely homogeneous temperature distribution throughout the entire bath vessel (8 to 20 litres). This makes the SW23 ideally suited for highly sensitive applications in research, enzymology or DNA analysis, where even minimal temperature fluctuations could affect the results.

Technology for the most demanding requirements

Thanks to the combination of microprocessor-based PID1 control and active circulation, the SW23 offers:

• Precise reproducibility: Ideal for experimental series requiring exactly the same conditions.
• Temperature range: +20 °C to +99.9 °C. (Note: An external cooling coil is recommended for work close to room temperature).
• ATC3 calibration: The 1-point calibration allows adjustment against reference thermometers for certified accuracy.

Powerful shaking mechanism

Despite the additional circulation technology, you do not have to compromise on shaking performance:

• Motion: Linear shaking stroke of 15 mm.
• Frequency: Continuously adjustable from 20 to 200 rpm.
• Handling: The shaking tray is fully removable, which makes loading and cleaning much easier.

Comfort and safety in continuous operation

The SW23 is ‘Made in Germany’ and built to withstand the rigours of everyday laboratory use:

• Timer function: An electronic timer (0:01 to 9:59 h:min) automates your processes.
• Safety: It features a warning system (visual/audible) for over- or under-temperature conditions, as well as dry-run protection, which switches the unit off if the water level is too low.
• Display: A bright LED multi-display shows all relevant parameters at a glance.
• Drain plug: The 20-litre stainless steel bath can be emptied cleanly and easily using the front-mounted drain plug.
