KERN OIV 345 Digital Video Microscope (5 MP, 12" display), TOIV 345-B

The KERN OIV 345 is a digital ‘all-in-one’ video microscope that has been specially developed to optimise digital stereomicroscopy in industrial quality assurance, assembly and repair. As an eyepiece-free system, it enables ergonomic viewing of samples directly on the integrated 12-inch HD screen, which significantly reduces eye strain during long working sessions. The axial optics ensure a direct, distortion-free view, making the microscope the ideal solution for training or collaborative viewing within a team.

Precision and click-stop zoom

A technical highlight of this model is the zoom wheels with integrated ‘click-stop’. This function clicks into place noticeably at defined magnification levels. This not only enables exact repeatability of settings but is also essential for calibrated measurements, as the user can be certain that the software calibration corresponds exactly to the physical zoom level. The zoom range from 0.7x to 4.5x is rendered sharply throughout (parfocality).

Connectivity and Documentation

The OIV 345 is more than just a viewing device; it is a documentation hub. The integrated 5-megapixel camera (Sony CMOS sensor) delivers brilliant images (1920x1080 HD) at a smooth 60 fps. The system is controlled intuitively via the supplied wireless USB mouse – a PC is not strictly necessary for operation. Images and videos can be saved directly to a USB stick or a microSD card. For advanced analyses or measurement functions, the device can be connected to a PC via USB 2.0 (the ‘S-Viewer’ software is available for download). In addition, the HDMI output allows an external large-screen monitor to be connected for presentations.
