Anyone who works with Euronorm baking trays on a daily basis is familiar with the problem of narrow or incorrectly sized fridges: trays get stuck, are difficult to pull out, or simply won’t fit at all. The Liebherr BRPvg 8401 is a bakery refrigeration and storage cabinet that is tailored precisely to these trays and offers bakeries with high stock turnover a correspondingly large amount of storage space.

700 litres for Euronorm baking trays

With a gross capacity of 854 litres and a net capacity of 700 litres, the BRPvg 8401 is one of the larger refrigerated storage cabinets for bakeries. The trays rest on L-shaped chrome-nickel steel support rails, which are designed to accommodate 20 storage levels, each capable of supporting up to 60 kg. The 600 x 800 mm longitudinal drawer accommodates Euronorm baking trays, which, thanks to the L-shape of the rails, slide in easily and can be pulled out just as easily.

Wide temperature range from -5 °C to +14 °C

The temperature adjustment range extends from -5 °C to +14 °C, and the cooling system operates dynamically. This means the cabinet covers both standard refrigerated storage at above-zero temperatures and slightly frosty temperatures, for example for goods that need to be cooled down again shortly before being cut or processed. The temperature is displayed digitally on the outside, and a visual and audible warning signal alerts the user in the event of deviations.

Robust construction with a chrome-nickel steel inner chamber

Whilst the housing and door are made of steel, the inner container is made of chrome-nickel steel (1.4301 / AISI 304) and is therefore designed to withstand the stresses of product changes and cleaning. An LED ceiling light ensures a clear view of the stored goods inside, whilst a handle strip makes it easy to open the door even when wearing gloves or with full hands.

Retrofittable connectivity and stable base

The Wi-Fi/LAN interface is optional and can be retrofitted, as can the networking solution as a whole. The four adjustable feet can be raised or lowered between 115 and 175 mm, ensuring the cabinet stands securely even on uneven floors. The door hinge can be switched to the right-hand side; the lock is mechanical and therefore operates independently of the mains supply.

Designed for large volumes of goods

With a height of 211.5 cm, a width of 78.7 cm and a depth of 101.7 cm, the BRPvg 8401 is clearly designed for bakeries with ample space and high stock turnover. Weighing approximately 145 kg net, it stands securely and stably on four height-adjustable levelling feet at its installation site, even when baking trays are changed several times a day. Its predecessor, the BKPv 8420, demonstrates that Liebherr has had this size in its range for some time and has continued to develop it for continuous operation in bakeries.

Typical applications

The BRPvg 8401 is suitable for bakeries and patisseries with a high tray turnover that cool and store dough, finished products or ingredients in large quantities on Euronorm trays. It also serves as the central refrigerated storage cabinet for the daily flow of goods in central bakeries supplying multiple branches, or in commercial kitchens with an integrated baking facility. As it is classified in the ‘Performance’ cluster tier, it is also suitable for businesses seeking a large internal capacity with reliable, yet not oversized, equipment.
