If you want to do more than just store ice cream and frozen goods – if you want to actively showcase them – you need more than just a simple freezer. The Liebherr EFE 3800 is an ice-cream freezer with static cooling, a gross capacity of 361 litres and an anthracite-aluminium design that shows the products in their best light.

Lighting that boosts sales

LED lighting on both sides ensures even illumination of the products, even in poorly lit areas of the shop. The sliding lid combines an aluminium profile with single-pane safety glass, which is well insulated and does not mist up immediately after opening, ensuring an unobstructed view of the products.

Ample space for a wide product range

With a width of 125.5 cm and a net capacity of 318 litres, the EFE 3800 offers noticeably more space than smaller models in the range. The cabinet and inner container are made of steel; the static cooling system maintains the interior temperature within the range of -10 °C to -24 °C, controlled via an analogue display inside the unit.

Economical to run

The natural refrigerant R 290 is used, with a charge of 61 grams; the rated current is 1.5 A. The chest freezer is designed for ambient temperatures ranging from +10 °C to 35 °C; according to the data sheet, energy consumption is around 1.734 kWh per 24 hours or 377 kWh per year. Defrosting is carried out manually.

Connection and Fuses

The EFE 3800 operates at 50 Hz with a voltage of 220 to 240 volts and is supplied via a 3.3-metre-long power cable, which is slightly longer than that of the smaller models in the range. A mechanical lock can be retrofitted, allowing the chest freezer to be secured further if required. Thanks to the insulated safety glass, the cold air inside the compartment is well retained even with frequent opening.

More display space for product presentation

Compared with smaller ice-cream freezers in the range, the EFE 3800 offers significantly more display space for the products on show thanks to its width of 125.5 cm. Combined with the LED lighting on both sides, the product range remains clearly visible even in poor ambient lighting conditions. The anthracite design also blends discreetly into a variety of shop concepts without distracting from the products themselves. The steel inner container ensures a robust foundation for daily use, even with frequent opening and closing of the sliding lid throughout the day.

The EFE 3800 is manufactured at the Kluang plant in Malaysia and is delivered packaged with dimensions of 126.4 x 68.3 x 85.4 cm and a gross weight of 59.50 kg. Once installed, the chest measures 82.5 x 125.5 x 66 cm, with a net weight of 55.00 kg. Due to its greater width, it is advisable to measure the installation space and door opening clearances accurately in advance, particularly if the chest is to be positioned in a heavily frequented area of the sales area.
