Frozen goods sell better when customers can see them straight away without having to open a flap. The Liebherr FDvb 4643 is a vertical frozen food display cabinet with forced-air cooling and a glass door, which presents goods attractively across a gross capacity of 461 litres whilst maintaining a stable temperature throughout the day.

Circulating-air cooling with a clear view

The forced-air cooling system distributes the cold air evenly throughout the interior and maintains a stable temperature range of -10 °C to -25 °C, even with frequent door openings. The defrost cycle runs automatically. The glass door provides a clear view of the product range at all times, whilst LED lighting ensures the goods are well illuminated.

Flexible storage

There are five shelves in the freezer compartment, four of which are height-adjustable, allowing packaging of different sizes to be accommodated. The net capacity is 307 litres. The ergonomic bar handle makes opening the door easier, even with frequent use during daily operations, and the door hinge can be reversed.

Stable even with high customer traffic

The temperature in the freezer compartment is displayed digitally on the outside; any fault is indicated visually and audibly. The height-adjustable feet (100 to 150 mm) compensate for uneven floors, whilst the mechanical lock provides additional security for the contents. The display cabinet is designed for ambient temperatures ranging from +10 °C to 30 °C.

Connected and energy-efficient

The unit features a Wi-Fi/LAN interface for connection to a monitoring solution. The natural refrigerant R 290 is used, with a charge of 115 grams and a connected load of 4.4 A. According to the data sheet, energy consumption is around 5.340 kWh per 24 hours or 2,830 kWh per year, which is realistic given the unit’s size and the fact that it features continuous recirculating air cooling with a glass door.

Connection and operating specifications

The FDvb 4643 operates at 50 Hz with a voltage of 220 to 240 volts and is powered via a 3.3-metre-long connection cable. The display cabinet is designed for ambient temperatures of +10 °C to 30 °C, a slightly narrower range than that of the ice-cream freezers in the same series, which must be taken into account when choosing its location in the sales area. The automatic defrosting process is controlled in the background without the need for manual intervention.

When the door is open, the unit occupies a width of 67.0 cm; it is worth bearing this in mind when planning walkways in the sales area.
