Liebherr SCFfg 4002 Laboratory fridge-freezer combination, 261 L, ignition-source-free (ATEX)

The Liebherr SCFfg 4002 is a professional laboratory fridge-freezer from the Performance Series, designed specifically for the storage of flammable and explosive substances. It combines a spacious refrigeration compartment with a separate freezer compartment and a certified, ignition-source-free interior.

Certified explosion protection (ATEX)

The key feature of this unit is its ignition-source-free interior. It complies with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU (classification II 3 G Ex ec IIC T6). This certifies the unit for the safe storage of flammable substances in sealed containers that could create explosive atmospheres.

Flexibility with two temperature zones

The unit offers two separately controllable climate zones. The fridge compartment allows a temperature range of +3 °C to +16 °C, whilst the freezer compartment reliably cools from -9 °C to -30 °C. Both zones operate with separate cooling systems.

SmartFrost technology and safety

Thanks to SmartFrost, frost build-up inside the freezer compartment is significantly reduced, meaning defrosting is required less frequently. A +2°C SafetyDevice in the refrigeration compartment protects sensitive samples from freezing. A visual and audible fault alarm, as well as a mechanical lock, provide additional security.

Prepared for networking

The unit is ready for connection to external monitoring systems (Wi-Fi/LAN) via the retrofittable SmartModule. A potential-free contact is already integrated.
