Nitrate is one of the most important nutrient parameters in water analysis – from drinking water monitoring to the assessment of water pollution. The NANOCOLOR Nitrate 50 round-cell test from Macherey-Nagel delivers precise, time-saving results when used in conjunction with the appropriate NANOCOLOR photometers.
Two measurement ranges for different concentrations
The test covers a measurement range of 0.3–22.0 mg/L NO₃-N and a second range of 2–100 mg/L NO₃⁻. The method is based on the 2,6-dimethylphenol procedure and complies with ISO 23696-1 (2023-02), whilst also being based on ISO 7890-1 and DIN 38405 – D9.
Compatible with standard NANOCOLOR photometers
The test can be analysed on the following instruments: 500 D, Advance, MT Easy UV, MT Easy VIS, PF-3 Soil, PF-12Plus, UV/VIS II and VIS II – including the NANOCOLOR VIS II (item no. 919650.1) and NANOCOLOR Advance (item no. 919750) spectrophotometers already featured in the LT range.
Scope of application
The test is designed for use with wastewater, groundwater, surface water and drinking water. A sturdy box containing 20 round cuvettes is sufficient for 20 analyses. When stored at 15–25 °C, the shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture.
