Memmert ICO50med CO₂ incubator, 56 L, TwinDISPLAY | Class IIa medical device

The Memmert ICO50med is a high-precision CO₂ incubator specially developed to meet the stringent requirements of in vitro fertilisation (IVF), biosynthesis and cell biology. As a certified Class IIa medical device, it offers maximum safety for cell, bacterial and tissue cultures. With a chamber volume of 56 litres and state-of-the-art control technology, it guarantees a completely homogeneous atmosphere and rapid recovery times after the door is opened.

Maximum safety & hygiene

The unit features a unique sterilisation programme: the entire interior, including all fittings and sensors, can be sterilised in a 60-minute programme at +180 °C. The deep-drawn interior made of electropolished stainless steel (grade 1.4301) with rounded corners allows for easy and thorough cleaning.

Precise control with TwinDISPLAY

The intuitive ControlCOCKPIT, featuring two high-resolution TFT colour graphic displays, allows for the precise setting and monitoring of temperature, CO₂ concentration and humidity. Thanks to battery backup, control and logging functions remain fully operational even in the event of a power cut. CO₂ control is provided by a drift-free dual-beam NDIR measurement system operating in the range from 0 to 20 per cent.

Active Humidity Protection

As standard, thermal decoupling and humidity limitation (Peltier element) prevent conditions that lead to condensation, thereby protecting cultures from contamination. Active humidity control (optional with module K7) allows setpoints from 40 to 97% rh for optimal cell growth conditions.
