Memmert IN450 Incubator, 449 L, with natural convection, on castors

The Memmert IN450 is a mobile, large-capacity incubator with natural convection, specially designed for laboratory applications involving high sample volumes where air turbulence must be avoided. With an enormous chamber volume of 449 litres, this model offers maximum capacity for the gentle incubation of sensitive organisms in research, medicine, pharmaceuticals and food technology. Thanks to the standard lockable castors, this large unit can be positioned flexibly within the laboratory.

Gentle temperature control without forced air circulation

Natural convection ensures purely thermal air circulation without a fan. This effectively prevents samples from drying out and minimises the risk of cross-contamination from airborne particles. The integrated 4-sided all-round heating guarantees homogeneous temperature distribution throughout the entire stainless steel interior.

Intuitive control: ControlCOCKPIT with SingleDISPLAY

Operation is carried out via the ControlCOCKPIT with SingleDISPLAY. The adaptive PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display enables precise adjustment of temperature and air damper position via touch. The digital timer (countdown timer) can be set from 1 minute to 99 days. The SetpointWAIT function ensures reliable process sequences: the process time only starts once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached.

Hygienic stainless steel design & double-leaf doors

Both the textured housing and the interior are made of high-quality, stainless steel (grade 1.4301). The unit features double-leaf doors (fully insulated stainless steel doors on the outside, glass doors on the inside), which allow convenient access to the spacious interior without having to open the entire unit. Safety is ensured by an adjustable electronic temperature monitor and a mechanical temperature limiter TB (protection class 1 in accordance with DIN 12880).
