Turbulence-free precision meets high-end control: Memmert UN160plus

The Memmert UN160plus universal oven combines a generous internal capacity of 161 litres with maximum process control for sensitive applications. As the unit operates using natural convection (without a fan), heat transfer takes place completely free of turbulence. This makes the UN160plus the first choice for gentle drying, ageing or temperature control of fine powders, light granulates, paper or biological samples, which could be stirred up by an air flow or dry out too quickly on the surface.

TwinDISPLAY: Intuitive programming for demanding processes

Despite the gentle heating, the ‘Plus’ version offers full programmability. Complex temperature ramps and process cycles can be created with ease via the TwinDISPLAY, which features two high-resolution TFT touchscreens. The electronically controlled exhaust air flap allows precise regulation of the fresh air supply in 10% increments. A particular highlight is the HeatBALANCE function: this allows you to adjust the heating output specifically between the upper and lower sections of the chamber, for example to compensate for asymmetrical loads.

Redundant safety and comprehensive documentation

Two independently operating Pt100 sensors (DIN Class A) continuously monitor the temperature. If one sensor fails, the second takes over control seamlessly. The integrated AutoSAFETY system reliably protects your valuable samples through visual and audible alarms, as well as automatic heating shutdown in the event of deviations. All process data is stored in the internal data logger and can be read out via USB or Ethernet using the supplied AtmoCONTROL software, which is FDA-compliant (GMP/GLP).
