Memmert water bath WTB24, 20 L, touch display, +100 degrees Celsius

The Memmert water bath WTB24 is the new mid-size model in the WTB range, with 20 litres of capacity for sample series that would be too tight in the WTB15.

New model generation

At 20 litres, the WTB24 is a new size within the range, filling the gap between the WTB15 and the WTB35. It is part of the full relaunch of the Memmert water bath range for price list 01-2027, which replaces the previous model line entirely, and comes with accessories such as lids, base grids, insert racks and test tube racks under new order numbers. The pump module P7 for circulating the water bath can be ordered as a factory option, previously the circulation pump was a separate retrofit part. Touch display and controls

The 3.5-inch colour graphic touch display shows target and actual temperature clearly, 2-point calibration secures the 0.1 degree accuracy. The customisable remote screen “CustomView” makes the display adaptable. The display shows the key operating values at a glance, no separate control panel is needed.

Stainless steel tank and cleaning

The WTB24 also has a deep-drawn stainless steel 1.4301 tank without corners or edges, with a central drain system. The heater outside the chamber and the stainless steel housing are standard across the range, as are the four adjustable feet. That makes daily cleaning and disinfection between two different batches easier.

Connection and operation

Power draw is 1,420 watts at both 230 V and 115 V (50/60 Hz). The 115 V version is available as option X2 (order number WTB6X2) at no extra cost. A standard lab socket is enough, no dedicated high-current connection is needed.

Size within the WTB range

At 20 litres, the WTB24 is the new mid-size model in the range, between the WTB15 and the WTB35. Controls, material and drain system are identical across the whole range, what mainly differs is internal dimensions, capacity, weight and, from the WTB15 upward, whether the pump module P7 is available.

Footprint and transport

Internal dimensions are 450 x 190 x 300 mm, external with the flat lid 547 x 397 x 342 mm, with the sloped lid 547 x 397 x 449 mm. Packed dimensions are 640 x 530 x 495 mm at 24 kg gross, net weight is 20 kg. Compared with the WTB15, mainly the internal width has grown, the footprint stays the same.

Pump module P7

The pump module P7 can also be ordered as a factory option for the WTB24 (824 euros net) and keeps the tempering medium circulating, useful with several racks loaded at once. Without P7, the water surface stays calm.

Calibration and documentation

A factory calibration certificate is not part of the standard equipment and is not included in the scope of delivery. Anyone who needs documented calibration, for example for a quality management system under ISO 9001 or for test equipment monitoring, can order it as an additional chargeable service through our procurement service. That way the initial commissioning can be documented without having to ship the unit off separately.

Typical applications

With a setting range of +10 to +100 degrees Celsius, the WTB24 covers a wide range of tempering tasks in the lab. The extra width compared with the WTB15 leaves room for more vessels side by side, for example in two test tube racks.

• Tempering larger sample series where the WTB15 is too small and the WTB35 is oversized
• Parallel batches in test tube racks or larger vessels
• Routine quality control work with medium sample throughput
• With the optional shaking attachment: shaking incubation at a constant temperature

The WTB24 fits when the WTB15 gets too tight for the sample series at hand but a WTB35, with significantly more internal length, is not needed. Labs that regularly run several racks in parallel benefit from the extra width.

The stainless steel flat lid (6 openings Ø 107 mm) costs 211 euros net, the base grid 63 euros net. The complete shaking attachment SV1524 costs 1,195 euros net, the small basket insert is available on request through our procurement service.
