Memmert water bath WTB6, 7 L, touch display, +100 degrees Celsius

Product information "Memmert water bath WTB6, 7 L, touch display, +100 degrees Celsius"

Pre-order: The Memmert water bath WTB6 belongs to Memmert's new water bath generation. You can pre-order it from us now, deliveries start in January 2027.

The Memmert water bath WTB6 brings samples and reagents to a constant temperature between +10 and +100 degrees Celsius. At 7 litres, it is the most compact model in the new WTB range, built for routine work with a small number of vessels.

New model generation

The WTB6 is part of the full relaunch of the Memmert water bath range for price list 01-2027, which replaces the previous model line entirely. Accessories such as lids, base grids, insert racks and test tube racks now come with new order numbers. There is no pump module for the WTB6, that factory option is reserved for the WTB15 and larger models. When reordering accessories, it is worth checking the current order number, listed further down in this description.

Touch display and controls

A 3.5-inch colour graphic touch display shows target and actual temperature and is adjusted via 2-point calibration. The customisable remote screen “CustomView” adapts the display to your own needs. Setting accuracy is 0.1 degrees Celsius. The display shows the key operating values at a glance, no separate control panel is needed.

Stainless steel tank and cleaning

The deep-drawn tank is made from stainless steel 1.4301 without corners or edges, and has an integrated central drain system that makes emptying and cleaning easier. The heater sits outside the chamber, the housing is also stainless steel. Four adjustable feet give it a secure stand. That makes daily cleaning and disinfection between two different batches easier.

Connection and operation

The WTB6 has a power draw of 1,000 watts at 230 V, 50/60 Hz. The 115 V version is available as option X2 at no extra cost. A standard lab socket is enough, no dedicated high-current connection is needed.

Size within the WTB range

At 7 litres, the WTB6 is the smallest of the six WTB models, a range that goes up to the 45-litre WTB50. Controls, material and drain system are identical across the whole range, what mainly differs is internal dimensions, capacity, weight and, from the WTB15 upward, whether the pump module P7 is available.

Footprint and transport

Internal dimensions are 310 x 140 x 220 mm, external dimensions with the flat lid are 407 x 317 x 292 mm, with the sloped lid supplied as standard the height rises to 394 mm. For shipping, the WTB6 arrives in packaging measuring 500 x 450 x 495 mm, gross weight is 15.5 kg, net weight is 12.5 kg. On the bench it takes up no more room than a compact incubator.

Calibration and documentation

A factory calibration certificate is not part of the standard equipment and is not included in the scope of delivery. Anyone who needs documented calibration, for example for a quality management system under ISO 9001 or for test equipment monitoring, can order it as an additional chargeable service through our procurement service. That way the initial commissioning can be documented without having to ship the unit off separately.

Typical applications

With a setting range of +10 to +100 degrees Celsius, the WTB6 covers a wide range of tempering tasks in the lab. Since there is no pump, the water surface stays calm, which helps when gently thawing sensitive samples.

  • Bringing samples and reagents to a constant temperature, for example when thawing or warming small volumes
  • Incubating individual vessels at a defined water bath temperature
  • Routine work in chemistry and microbiology labs with a small sample load
  • Training and teaching settings where a compact water bath is enough for a few workstations

For labs that regularly temper only a few vessels at a time, the WTB6 is a good fit. For larger sample series or a full test tube rack, the WTB11 or the WTB15 offer more interior space within the same range.

Manufacturer's WEEE registration number (Memmert GmbH + Co. KG, Stiftung EAR): DE 66812464.

Memmert units bought from us are covered for three years from delivery: the first 12 months are followed by a 24-month warranty under Memmert's terms, handled through us. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
