Memmert WTB35 water bath, 37.5 L, touchscreen, +100 °C

Product information "Memmert WTB35 water bath, 37.5 L, touchscreen, +100 °C"

The Memmert WTB35 water bath maintains the temperature of samples, reagents and vessels reliably between +10 and +100 °C – with a 37.5-litre usable capacity and a user-friendly colour touchscreen, it is ideal for everyday use in chemistry and microbiology laboratories, in food and water analysis, and wherever samples need to be thawed, incubated or brought to a constant temperature in a water bath.

Precise temperature control via touch display

A digital temperature sensor mounted on the outside of the bath controls the temperature with a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C. The 3.5-inch colour graphic touchscreen clearly displays the setpoint and actual temperatures as well as the (remaining) programme time, and allows for simple 2-point calibration. The digital timer covers a range from 1 minute to 99 hours 59 minutes, with a visual and audible signal upon expiry. Within the operating temperature range (at least 5 °C above ambient temperature up to +100 °C, with the lid in place and depending on ambient pressure), the bath can be used for a wide variety of temperature control processes.

Two-stage safety and easy cleaning

A two-stage safety system protects against overtemperature: a pressure sensor monitors the fill level, whilst a thermal fuse switches off the heating in the event of a fault. In addition, an individually adjustable overtemperature alarm with visual and audible signals, an independent temperature monitor and a microprocessor-based PID controller with self-diagnosis ensure reliable operation. The deep-drawn stainless steel bath (grade 1.4301) is manufactured without corners or edges; a central bottom drain and the ‘innovative drainage system’ – according to the manufacturer – make emptying and cleaning noticeably easier. The textured stainless steel housing and the stainless steel gable lid round off the robust design, which is suitable for everyday laboratory use.

Size within the WTB series

With a usable capacity of 37.5 litres and internal dimensions of 602 × 482 × 150 mm, the WTB35 is positioned in the mid-range of the Memmert water bath series, which also includes smaller and larger variants. All models in the series share the same basic features, including a colour touchscreen, two-stage overtemperature protection and a stainless steel bath with no corners or edges – anyone requiring a larger or smaller usable capacity will find a suitable alternative within the same product family.

Operating conditions and installation

The WTB35 is designed for operation at ambient temperatures between +5 and +40 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 80 per cent (non-condensing). It can be connected to either 230 V (approx. 2800 W) or 115 V (approx. 1840 W), in each case at 50/60 Hz. With a net weight of around 30 kg, the unit can be set up without the need for technical lifting aids; the shipping dimensions of 968 × 654 × 475 mm must be taken into account when planning delivery.

Important note: Model changeover for Memmert water baths

Memmert is transitioning the WTB water bath series to a new platform. The new variants will be available to order from 1 December 2026; the final order deadline for the current WTB35 model is 30 November 2026. If you are interested in this model or a successor model, we recommend that you contact LT Laborhandel in good time to enquire about order deadlines.

Typical applications

With a temperature range of +10 to +100 °C, the WTB35 is suitable for a wide range of temperature control tasks in the laboratory:

  • Thawing and heating samples and reagents to a constant target temperature
  • Incubation of culture vessels at a defined water bath temperature
  • Temperature control steps in food and water analysis
  • Routine chemical and microbiological applications requiring precise, documentable temperature control

As no circulation system is fitted as standard, the WTB35 is particularly suitable for applications where a calm, still water surface is required – such as the gentle thawing of sensitive samples. If active mixing of the water bath is required, the separately available circulation pump can be retrofitted without the need for a different model.
