The Nabertherm high-temperature furnace LHT 01/17 D is the smallest size in the LHT series with MoSi2 heating elements and reaches up to 1,650 °C with 1 litre of usable space. The lift door opens upwards. The furnace is operated via the P580 touch controller.
Construction and connection
The interior measures 110 x 120 x 120 mm, externally the LHT 01/17 D measures 385 x 425 x 525 mm, with the lift door open, around 195 mm of additional height is added. At 28 kg, it is designed as a benchtop model. The electrical connection is single-phase at 1.95 kW, a three-phase supply is not required for this. The empty, closed furnace heats up to Tmax minus 100 K in around 27 minutes at 230 V.
Heating and insulation
The high-quality heating elements are made of molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2). This maintains extensive protection against chemical interactions between the charge and the heating elements. The furnace is insulated with high-quality fibre material without classification under CLP Regulation (EG) Nr. 1272/2008, aluminium silicate wool (RCF fibres) is not used.
Control and safety
The P580 controller has a touch display and stores up to 50 programs with 40 segments each, temperature ramps and holding times can be permanently stored with it. Via NTLog Basic, the controller records process data and outputs it to a USB stick. In the D version, a type S thermocouple measures the furnace temperature. An adjustable air inlet opening and an exhaust opening in the ceiling provide air exchange in the furnace chamber.
Selection guide
Anyone who needs more volume for larger charges will find 4 litres of usable space in the LHT 03/17 D at the same Tmax of 1,650 °C. If the temperature needs to exceed 1,650 °C, the LHT 02/17 with 2 litres and Tmax 1,750 °C is closer to the requirement.
