Remaining Rxi-PAH GC capillary column, 40 m, 0.18 mm ID, 0.07 µm, #49316

Product information "Remaining Rxi-PAH GC capillary column, 40 m, 0.18 mm ID, 0.07 µm, #49316"

Description:
The Rxi-PAH GC columns have been developed by Restek using a stationary phase with a higher phenyl content, which offers unique selectivity for the separation of key polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) relevant to food safety that cannot be distinguished by mass spectrometry. Even difficult priority compounds such as PAH4, as defined by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), can be easily separated and accurately quantified – results that cannot be achieved with conventional GC columns. The arylene modification and surface bonding of the stationary phase enhance thermal stability and robustness, enabling the routine analysis of relatively low-volatility, higher molecular weight PAHs without interference from column bleeding. The column’s excellent efficiency means it can be trimmed many times for maintenance purposes without losing critical PAH separations, including those used in environmental methods and food safety testing. Owing to its selectivity and efficiency, the Rxi-PAH column is ideally suited to the EFSA’s PAH4 analysis; the separation of chrysene/triphenylene and the resolution of all benzofluoranthenes are easily achievable.

Item No.: Description
49316: Narrower internal diameter, thinner film, faster analysis, excellent separation of key PAHs, lower sample capacity
49317: 0.25 mm internal diameter, better sample capacity, highest resolution of key PAHs, longer analysis time than the 0.18 mm column, thin film enables elution of dibenzopyrenes
49318: 0.25 mm internal diameter, higher sample capacity, faster analysis time than the 60 m column, adequate resolution of key PAHs, more cost-effective column

Features & Benefits
: - Ideal for EFSA PAH4 analysis – separates all priority compounds: benz[a]anthracene, chrysene, benzo[b]fluoranthene and benzo[a]pyrene
.- Optimal separation of chrysene from interfering PAHs, triphenylene and cyclopenta[cd]pyrene.
- Complete separation of benzo[b]-, [k]-, [j]- and [a]-fluoranthene
.- Thermal stability from 40 to 360 °C enables the analysis of low-volatility dibenzopyrenes.
