. Micro-packed columns are highly efficient and offer good sample capacity, making them a powerful tool for solving many challenging application problems. The unrivalled inertness of SilcoSmooth capillaries is due to Siltek deactivation, which allows the column to be bent and coiled without causing spalling or cracking of the inert surface.
Easy to install. Multiple internal diameters
. Our micropacked columns are suitable for packed and capillary injection systems. Micropacked columns with standard walls (1/16-inch OD) offer improved efficiency in instruments designed for packed columns without the cost of converting to capillary injection systems. Micro-packed columns with a smaller outer diameter (0.95 mm OD) can be easily fitted into a capillary injector, using slightly larger ferrules. Micro-packed columns operate at flow rates of more than 10 cc/min for trouble-free operation.
Braided-wire
end caps Restek’s packed column experts insert a braided wire into the column and secure it at the column outlet using a small crimp. The end caps are treated with Siltek; the sample comes into contact only with inert surfaces.
