Description:
Analyse oxygen, nitrogen, methane, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide using a single column at room temperature. The ShinCarbon ST material, a carbon molecular sieve with a large surface area (~1,500 m²/g), is the ideal medium for the separation of gases and highly volatile compounds using gas-solid chromatography (GSC). These columns enable rapid analysis at temperatures above ambient. The excellent thermal stability of the high-surface-area carbon, combined with careful conditioning during column manufacture, ensures operation with low column bleed and rapid stabilisation when a new column is installed. Customised ShinCarbon ST columns are available on request.

ShinCarbon ST is an extremely stable material. Its upper programmed temperature limit of 300 °C minimises column bleed and baseline drift, making the material compatible with most detection systems used in gas analysis, including TCD or HID. All ShinCarbon ST columns are fully conditioned in a dry, oxygen-free environment to make your work easier. This minimises the stabilisation time (less than 30 minutes) when installing a new column, which in turn reduces your downtime.

Note: The columns are supplied without column nuts and ferrules. Optional installation kits can be ordered separately.
