The Fragrance Allergen Standards Kit covers 31 fragrance allergens that can be fully separated in one analysis on a Rxi-17 column. Besides the three allergen standards, a solvent blank and an internal standard are included. The kit is designed for GC-MS analyses according to the IFRA method. Some of the compounds are listed in the 7th Amendment of the former EU Cosmetics Directive.
Structure of the kit
The kit consists of three allergen standards (A, B and C), an MTBE solvent blank and a 1-fluoronaphthalene mix as internal standard. Each compound included is present at 400 ppm. The standards can be diluted for calibration curves and used with various solvents. The purity exceeds the requirements of the IFRA method. The components are not available individually.
Notes on the compound list
In the compound list, substances of the 7th Amendment of the former EU Cosmetics Directive, additional potential allergens and compounds with two isomers are marked. The latter give two peaks.
Storage and shelf life
The kit is stored at 0 °C or colder and keeps for 6 to 18 months. It is shipped at ambient temperature.

All five components contain methyl tert-butyl ether as solvent (UN 2398, class 3, packing group II). The signal word is Danger.
With the classification in class 3, the shipment is dangerous goods.
