Product information "Unigloves Orange Pearl Nitrile Gloves, Orange, Powder-free, Size M, GP0133"
The Unigloves Orange Pearl nitrile gloves add a strong signal colour to the Pearl range, making them particularly suitable for situations where a work area needs to be recognisable at a glance. They are powder-free, latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free, fully dipped in nitrile, with textured fingertips and a rolled cuff. The Orange Pearl nitrile gloves are sold in a carton containing 1,000 gloves (10 boxes of 100 each), in five sizes from XS to XL.
Vibrant signal colour with a thickness of 0.08 mm
Orange Pearl is one of the slightly thicker colours in the Pearl range: the thickness at the palm is 0.08 mm (± 0.02 mm); the data sheet does not specify values for the fingertips or cuff. The width increases from 76 mm (± 4 mm) for XS, through 86 mm, 98 mm and 107 mm (each ± 4 mm) for S, M and L up to 115 mm (± 4 mm) for XL, with a length of at least 240 mm across all sizes. The median force at break is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing.
Tested according to EN 455 and EN ISO 374, Category III, Type C
Orange Pearl is classified as a Category III, Type C chemical-resistant glove according to EN ISO 374-1 and also offers protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria according to EN ISO 374-5. In testing with 40 % sodium hydroxide solution according to EN 374-4, the highest permeation level 6 was achieved, with a degradation of minus 5.3 %. The glove is manufactured under a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021; the type examination according to Module B and Module C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 is carried out by CCQS (Notified Body 2834). The AQL value of 1.5 in the watertightness test describes the watertightness of the glove; according to the manufacturer, it is also food-safe.
Typical applications
The bold signal colour makes Orange Pearl an obvious choice wherever a work area needs to be clearly identifiable:
- Warning areas and hazard zones, where a highly visible signal colour aids identification
- Waste separation and disposal processes, where orange is often used as a dedicated colour code
- Food processing (food-safe according to the manufacturer)
- Work involving 40 % sodium hydroxide solution and comparable chemicals within the scope of the tested EN 374 Category III
In workplaces with multiple warning levels, orange can be used specifically as a medium-intensity signal colour between a neutral base colour and a particularly eye-catching colour such as red.
Orange Pearl in the Pearl range
Orange Pearl is one of twelve colours in the Unigloves Pearl range available from us. Yellow Pearl is suitable as a related warm signal colour, whilst Red Pearl is suitable for even more eye-catching identification. All colours in the range share the same basic construction made from fully dipped nitrile, but differ, as specified in the respective data sheets, in details such as material thickness, width tolerance and the scope of the documented test values.
