With the same footprint as the DT 102 H, the Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 103 H has a deeper basin: 240 x 140 x 150 mm instead of 240 x 140 x 100 mm. This gives a capacity of 4.0 l. The heating element has a power rating of 200 W and is adjustable between 20 and 80 °C.
Deeper bath, same footprint
The appliance measures 260 x 160 x 310 mm externally and weighs 4.4 kg. Like the housing, the basin is made of 1.4301 stainless steel, with a wall thickness of 1.0 mm. The working capacity is 2.7 l, and a fill level mark is incorporated. The unit does not have any handles. The drain consists of a G ¼ ball valve on the right-hand side; the ball valve, hose connector and hose are included in the Scope of delivery.
Ultrasound, heating and functions
Two transducer systems deliver a peak power of 560 W at 35 kHz; the rated power is 140 W. The heater has a power rating of 200 W and is fitted with boil-dry protection and dry-run protection. SweepTec prevents standing waves in the ultrasonic field; the DEGAS rapid degassing function is activated at the start of the cleaning process, and a pulse function is also available. The current consumption at 230 V is 1.5 A.
Buttons, display and timer
The buttons are wipe-clean. The display shows the remaining cleaning time and the temperature as both setpoint and actual values. The duration can be set to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes (± 5 per cent); alternatively, the bath can run continuously. It switches off automatically after 12 hours without any buttons being pressed.
When a depth of 150 mm makes all the difference
With all other tank dimensions being the same, the SONOREX DIGITEC DT 102 H has a depth of 100 mm, a capacity of 3.0 l and a heating power of 140 W. For even larger volumes with the same operation, the DT 156 BH (9.0 l, tank 500 x 140 x 150 mm) and the unheated DT 106 (5.6 l, round tank with a diameter of 240 mm) are available.
Accessories
The DT 103 H is available with the K 3 CL stainless steel hanging basket (200 x 110 x 40 mm, mesh size 5 x 5 mm, load capacity up to 2 kg), the D 100 lid and the perforated DE 100 lid for two inner bowls. The sample beakers SD 06 (glass), PD 06 (plastic) and EB 05 (stainless steel) each hold 0.6 l. Also included are the GH 1 instrument holder, the PHS 12 sample holder, the KW 3 immersion tray and the GV 3 handle adjuster for controlling the immersion depth.
