Product information "Brand Dispensette S Organic Bottle-top Dispenser, Analogue, 1-10 ml, without Return Valve, DE-M, 4630140"
For acid digestion using a fixed volume of concentrated hydrochloric or nitric acid, the setting does not need to be checked again for each sample. Once set, the Brand Dispensette S Organic Analog (1 to 10 ml) remains at the selected value. For volumes of 1-10 ml, the graduation is 0.2 ml, the accuracy is 0.5 %/50 µl, and the coefficient of variation is 0.1 %/10 µl.
Typical applications
The colour code ‘Yellow’ identifies the Organic series within the Brand range. For the 1-10 ml range, typical applications in practice include:
- fixed dosing of concentrated hydrochloric acid in standardised digestion procedures
- consistent addition of dichloromethane during liquid-liquid extraction
- recurring addition of THF during standardised synthesis steps
Analogue version and selection guide
The volume is set using the volume adjustment screw with indicator arrow: loosen the screw by three-quarters of a turn, move the indicator arrow to the scale value, then tighten the screw again. Once set, the value remains fixed until deliberately adjusted. Analogue instruments can be adjusted tool-free via Easy Calibration. Bottle adaptors for GL 24-25, GL28/S 28, GL 32-33, GL 38 and S 40 are included; the suction tube can be adjusted to 125-240 mm.
For a digestion protocol requiring a consistent acid volume, the mechanical analogue version is sufficient. If the volume varies between sample series, the digital version with a counter is more practical.
Materials and autoclavability
Parts in contact with the medium are made of borosilicate glass, Al2O3 ceramic, ETFE, FEP, PFA, PTFE, tantalum and PP (screw cap/bottle adapter). The device is autoclavable under the following conditions: yes, 121 °C, 2 bar, for at least 15 minutes in accordance with DIN EN 285, with a cooling time of approx. 2 hours in a closed autoclave. The use of tantalum as the valve spring material, together with the fluoroplastics ETFE, FEP, PFA and PTFE, makes the Organic series suitable for use with organic solvents and certain concentrated acids; however, it is not suitable for alkalis or saline solutions.
The Dispensette S Organic is not suitable for alkalis, salt solutions, carbon disulphide, explosive liquids or media that attack borosilicate glass, such as hydrofluoric acid. For alkalis and salt solutions, the Dispensette S in red (standard) is the appropriate series; for trace analysis with a selectable valve spring made of platinum-iridium or tantalum, the Dispensette S Trace Analysis is recommended.
Installation and switching to a different supply bottle are carried out using the supplied mounting key and the telescopic suction tube, which can be adjusted to the height of the respective bottle. The bottle adapter included in the Scope of delivery fits the relevant GL45-compatible thread, allowing the dispenser to be used regardless of the specific storage bottle.
Accuracy at a glance
For 1-10 ml: graduation 0.2 ml, accuracy 0.5 %/50 µl, coefficient of variation 0.1 %/10 µl. The abbreviation ‘DE-M’ in the name confirms calibration in accordance with the requirements of German measurement and calibration law.
Other volumes in the analogue version
The analogue version of the Dispensette S Organic covers further ranges in addition to 1-10 ml:
| Volume | Accuracy | MPN (excl. RDV) |
| 0.5-5 ml | 0.5 %/25 µl | 4630130 |
| 2.5-25 ml | 0.5%/125 µl | 4630150 |
| 5-50 ml | 0.5%/250 µl | 4630160 |
| 10-100 ml | 0.5%/500 µl | 4630170 |
Frequently asked questions
Can this version be retrofitted without a return dosing valve?
According to the manufacturer, the version with a return dosing valve has its own order number and comes with its own dosing cannula including a return dosing tube; it is not a retrofit option for the version without a return dosing valve.
How is the analogue version adjusted in the 1-10 ml range?
Easy Calibration allows this to be done without tools; any adjustment deviating from the factory setting is indicated by a red mark.

Differentiation within the Dispensette S range
For the medium being dispensed here, the yellow Organic series is the right choice. For alkalis or most other acids, the red Standard Dispensette S would be the appropriate choice instead. For trace analysis, with a choice of valve spring made from platinum-iridium or tantalum, the Dispensette S Trace Analysis is available separately.
