If the TIG torch is set down anywhere on the workpiece whilst welding is paused, it may cause a short circuit. This will destroy the tungsten tip and may cause the ceramic nozzle to burst. The ESAB TIG torch holder 0760022400 provides a secure place for the torch at the workstation.
Safe storage during welding breaks
ESAB describes the holder as a workstation accessory for the safe storage of the TIG torch when welding is paused. The torch rests in the holder rather than on the workpiece, where the tungsten tip could come into contact with it.
Magnetic base
The holder has a magnetic base. This allows it to adhere to magnetisable surfaces in the workplace. It is suitable for most TIG torches. For torches with unusual shapes, please check before ordering whether the holder is compatible with your torch. The holder is yellow in colour.
