Heidolph Hei-PLATE Reflux Package Core+ Magnetic Stirrer Set, Ø145 mm, with Findenser and Heat-On, 506-21156-00

Larger reflux set-ups requiring up to one litre of solvent need more than one temperature sensor, a suitable heating attachment and a condenser that are compatible with the flask’s volume. The Core+ reflux kit provides this combination, fully coordinated and ready to use, based on the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+ with a 145-millimetre footprint.

From preparation to distillation

Traditional reflux set-ups often rely on a water or oil bath between the hotplate and the flask. The Heat-On attachment with a 1-litre capacity, order number 505-80071-00, replaces this bath with direct contact to the flask, thereby eliminating the need to fill, monitor and clean the bath. The included Pt1000 temperature probe regulates the temperature of the medium; in conjunction with the probe, the magnetic stirrer covers a measuring range from 15 to 325 degrees Celsius with an accuracy of ±0.2 Kelvin.

Cooling without a water connection, up to 1 l

The Findenser, featuring an NS24 core and NS24 sleeve (order number 505-81700-00), performs the cooling function of a conventional water cooler, but operates purely with air. Its capacity is sufficient for solvent volumes of up to 1 l. A round-bottomed flask is not included in the Scope of delivery, as the flask size depends on the specific application. If the flask is filled only halfway, the risk of losing solvent during reflux is reduced.

Selection guide: this pack or the mini version

For batches of up to 125 millilitres, the more compact Reflux Package Core+ Mini, with a footprint of 135 millimetres and smaller accessories, is the more suitable choice. If a temperature probe without a cooling assembly is sufficient, the more compact solution is the Sensor Basic Core+ pack or, with a mount and silicone cover, the Sensor Advanced Core+ pack.

Larger footprint, more space on the workbench

The 145-millimetre footprint of the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+ offers sufficient space for flasks in the one-litre range and for the supplied Heat-On attachment. The drive, speed range and heating power are identical to those of the smaller Core+ magnetic stirrer in the Mini version; only the usable surface area and the accessories differ.

Warranty and procurement service

Heidolph Scientific Products GmbH, Schwabach, provides a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This excludes glass and wear parts, damage caused during transport, and damage resulting from improper use. If the appliance is registered with Heidolph, the warranty commences on the date of purchase; otherwise, it commences on the date of manufacture as indicated by the serial number. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected. Heidolph offers a 10-year warranty on the Hei-PLATE series magnetic stirrer included in the package, provided the instrument is registered with Heidolph within the first year of purchase. This extended warranty does not apply to temperature sensors, the Heat-On attachment or the Findenser as accessories. LT Laborhandel’s procurement service can, if required, source larger round-bottom flasks, additional Heat-On attachments or spare parts for the Findenser.
