Heidolph Hei-PLATE Reflux Package Core+ Mini Magnetic Stirrer Set, Ø135 mm, with Findenser Mini, 506-21155-00

Heating small quantities of solvent under reflux without having to fit a water connection for cooling can be done in a single set-up using the Reflux Package Core+ Mini. The kit combines the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+ with a 135-millimetre footprint, the external Pt1000 temperature probe, a 250-millilitre Heat-On attachment and the air-cooled Findenser Mini cooler.

Heat-On instead of a water or oil bath

The Heat-On attachment, with a capacity of 250 millilitres (order number 505-80067-01), transfers heat from the heating plate directly to the flask, without the need for water or oil as an intermediate medium. This eliminates the need for a bath and the associated cleaning. The included Pt1000 temperature sensor regulates the temperature in the medium, whilst the magnetic stirrer itself covers a display and measurement range from 15 to 325 degrees Celsius.

Findenser Mini as a cooler without a water connection

The Findenser Mini with an NS24 core and NS24 sleeve (order number 505-81800-00) replaces the traditional water-cooled unit with an air-cooled high-performance cooler. It is designed for solvent volumes of up to 125 millilitres. A flask is not included in the pack and must be selected to suit the experiment; it is recommended that it be filled only halfway to avoid solvent loss.

135 instead of 145 millimetres: the smaller footprint

Unlike the larger Core+ reflux pack with a 145-millimetre footprint, the Mini pack is based on the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+ with a 135-millimetre footprint. Technically, both magnetic stirrers are identical apart from this diameter; the speed range, heating power and display are the same. The smaller footprint is suited to the more compact condenser and the smaller Heat-On attachment included in this pack. A lock function on the control knobs provides additional protection for both models against accidental adjustment of the set speed and temperature during reflux.

Selection guide: Mini or standard size

If a volume of 125 millilitres is insufficient, the Reflux Package Core+ with a 1-litre Heat-On and a larger sensor is the right choice. If you do not require a reflux condenser but are looking for a temperature probe with a fixed mount and silicone cover, you will find this in the Sensor Advanced Core+ package.

A round-bottomed flask is not included in the Scope of delivery and must be ordered separately to fit the attachment.

Warranty and procurement service

Heidolph Scientific Products GmbH, Schwabach, provides a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This excludes glass and wear parts, damage caused during transport, and damage resulting from improper use. If the appliance is registered with Heidolph, the warranty begins on the date of purchase; otherwise, it begins on the date of manufacture as indicated by the serial number. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected. Heidolph offers a 10-year warranty on the Hei-PLATE series magnetic stirrer included in the package, provided the instrument is registered with Heidolph within the first year of purchase. This extended warranty does not apply to temperature sensors, the Heat-On attachment or the Findenser Mini as accessories.
