Product information "Heidolph Hei-PLATE Mix'n'Heat Core+ Magnetic Stirrer, Ø135 mm, Pt1000 Connection, 506-22100-00"
If you need a slightly smaller hotplate for a reflux setup with a compact flask or for a space-saving multi-unit arrangement, the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+ in the 135-millimetre version offers the same digital functionality as the 145-millimetre variant, but with a more compact Kera-Disk footprint. The LCD display, dynamic rotary controls and the optional external Pt1000 sensor are identical; it heats up to 300 degrees Celsius at up to 1,400 revolutions per minute.
Same technology, smaller footprint
Apart from the diameter of the base, this model is technically no different from the 145-millimetre version: the same housing with external dimensions of 168 x 101 x 299 millimetres, the same EC motor with a speed range of 100 to 1,400 revolutions per minute, and the same heating power of 800 watts at 230 volts (EU). Anyone wishing to set up several stirring stations side by side, or who works predominantly with smaller flasks and vessels, will benefit from the slightly smaller diameter of the 135-millimetre Kera-Disk, without compromising on speed or heating power.
Two heating modes for different requirements
The FAST heating mode brings the sample up to temperature quickly, whilst PRECISE then takes over for fine control without overshoot; both modes operate via the optional external Pt1000 sensor with an accuracy of ± 0.2 Kelvin and a resolution of 1 Kelvin. A lock function on the two dynamic rotary controls prevents accidental adjustment whilst tests are in progress; a visual residual heat warning lights up on the base when the temperature reaches 50 degrees Celsius.
Typical applications
- Reflux set-ups with the Findenser Mini and a compact flask
- Space-saving multiple set-ups in smaller laboratories or fume cupboards
- Syntheses with a defined heating ramp using the FAST and PRECISE modes
- Training laboratories with limited floor space
- Expansion of existing Core+ workstations with a second, more compact unit
Load capacity and protection rating
Weighing around 3 kilograms, the base can still support set-ups weighing up to 25 kilograms. IP42 protection rating protects against foreign bodies larger than 1 mm and dripping water when tilted up to 15°; the sound pressure level remains below 50 dB(A). The patented Kera-Disk coating made of anodised aluminium is chemical-resistant and scratch-resistant, regardless of the selected diameter.
Selection guide: 135 or 145 millimetres
If a larger work surface is required for larger flasks or additional accessories, the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+ (Ø145) is the better choice. Equipped directly with a Pt1000 sensor, the basic unit is available in the Hei-PLATE Sensor Basic Core+ package; for a complete reflux setup with the Findenser Mini, it is available in the Hei-PLATE Reflux Core+ Mini package. For those who do not require digital temperature measurement, the Hei-PLATE Mix'n'Heat Core offers analogue control.
