Anyone who needs to stir viscous substances such as adhesives, silicone compounds or high-viscosity polymer solutions in a laboratory or pilot plant requires an overhead stirrer with plenty of power in reserve. With a torque of 400 Ncm and a two-stage gearbox, the Heidolph Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 400 is the most powerful model in the Ultimate series. It stirs volumes of up to 100 l (water equivalent) and viscosities of up to 250,000 mPas without the EC motor reaching its limits.

Two-stage gearbox for two operating ranges

The first gearbox stage covers 10 to 400 revolutions per minute and delivers full torque for viscous media where power is more important than speed. The second stage switches to 20 to 2,000 revolutions per minute and is suitable for thinner mixtures, where a higher speed accelerates mixing. Both stages run on the same drive, so there is no need to change equipment between pilot-scale and production-scale operations.

Process control with Hei-Control and ramp programming

The Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 400 can be connected to a PC, a programmable logic controller (PLC) or an automation system such as LabManager via the USB and RS232 interfaces. The free Hei-Control software, included in the scope of delivery, controls up to four units simultaneously, logs speed and torque, and saves ramp profiles for reproducible runs. A timer function and the torque trend display provide feedback during the stirring process without the need for additional measurement equipment. The quick-release chuck with safety ring accommodates stirring shafts up to 10.5 millimetres in diameter and can be combined with a wide range of stirring elements.

Reliable and durable in continuous operation

The unit is designed for continuous operation and is protected by KTY temperature monitoring of the motor and an automatic shut-off function with an overload indicator. The start/stop touch function prevents accidental activation, whilst the IP54 protection rating in accordance with DIN EN 60529 ensures the stirrer is resistant to dust and splashing water in everyday laboratory use. With a sound pressure level below 70 dB(A), operation remains tolerable even over extended process times.

Those stirring smaller volumes or more fluid media will find the smaller models, the Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 100 with 100 Ncm and the Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 200 with 200 Ncm, to be the more suitable and cost-effective choice. An agitator is not included in the Scope of delivery and must be selected separately from the agitator categories, such as anchor, paddle, propeller or turbine agitators, to suit the application.

This excludes glass and wear parts, damage caused during transport and damage resulting from improper use. If the instrument is registered with Heidolph, the warranty commences on the date of purchase; otherwise, it commences on the date of manufacture as indicated by the serial number. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
