An overhead stirrer in a fume hood should fit into ongoing test series without becoming a topic itself. With 10 to 2,000 rpm and 100 Ncm torque, the Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 100 covers a range that is sufficient for most standard laboratory applications, from aqueous solutions to media with a viscosity of 60,000 mPas. As the smallest model of the Ultimate series, it carries the full equipment of the line, only with a smaller power reserve than the Ultimate 200 and Ultimate 400 models.

Ramp programming for multi-stage processes

What distinguishes the Ultimate line from the Expert series shows mainly in the control. The Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 100 can be operated via ramp programming, supplemented by a timer function and a torque trend display as a numerical value. Anyone who has to run a stirring process over several phases with different speeds, such as slow dissolving followed by intensive stirring, programs this once on the device and recalls it for every further run.

USB and RS232 for PC, PLC and LabManager

Two interfaces are present at the same time: USB and RS232 connect the stirrer to a PC, a programmable logic controller or an automation system such as LabManager. The supplied Hei-Control software controls and logs up to four devices at the same time via a single computer, which is practical for laboratories with several stirring stations that have to document their test parameters.

Compact and designed for continuous operation

At 4.4 kilograms, the Ultimate 100 is the lightest of the three Hei-TORQUE models compared here, and the dimensions are 86 x 350 x 247 millimetres. The EC motor is designed for continuous operation and stays below 70 dB(A). A KTY temperature monitor protects against overheating, and in the event of overload the device switches off automatically with a display. The start/stop function responds to touch instead of a mechanical switch, which reduces the risk of accidental switching on when handling the stand.

Stirring tool freely selectable

The quick-release chuck with safety ring accepts stirring shafts from 2.5 to 10.5 millimetres in diameter. This allows a choice from a wide range of stirring elements, from anchor and blade stirrers via propeller stirrers with and without guide ring to turbine stirrers and Visco-Jet tools for more viscous media. The suitable stirring element is not included in the scope of delivery of the drive unit and is put together separately depending on the application.

Choosing within the Hei-TORQUE series

If the torque of 100 Ncm is no longer sufficient for more viscous media or larger volumes, the identically equipped models Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 200 with 200 Ncm and Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 400 with 400 Ncm and a two-stage gearbox are available, both with the same ramp programming and the same interfaces. Anyone who can do without ramp programming and torque trend display and prefers a simpler display will find in the Hei-TORQUE Expert 200 a variant with comparable power at a lower price. Anyone who wants to obtain the stirrer directly with telescopic stand and clamp gets exactly this drive unit already fully equipped with the Hei-TORQUE Gold 1 Package.

Heidolph Scientific Products GmbH, Schwabach, grants a 3 year manufacturer's warranty on material and manufacturing defects. Glass and wear parts, transport damage and damage caused by improper use are excluded. If the device is registered with Heidolph, the warranty begins on the date of purchase, otherwise on the date of manufacture according to the serial number.
