The IKA ROTATEMP lo-vi Package (MPN 0010014004) is the ideal system solution for determining the viscosity of low-viscosity substances at high temperatures. Where standard viscometers reach their limits – because the medium is solid at room temperature (e.g. waxes) or only exhibits the desired flow properties when heated (e.g. certain oils, hot-melt adhesives) – this set delivers reliable data. It combines the high-precision ROTAVISC lo-vi viscometer with the powerful ROTATEMP high-temperature oven.

“lo-vi” for the low viscosity range

The key difference compared to other packages is the measuring head: the ROTAVISC lo-vi (“Low Viscosity”) is specially calibrated for the measuring range from 1 to 6,000,000 mPas. This ensures the highest accuracy, particularly in the lower range, where even the slightest differences matter. The large 4.3" TFT display guides you intuitively through the measurement, shows all parameters and assists with levelling.

Temperature control up to 300 °C

The ROTATEMP oven included in the set ensures the perfect environment for your sample. It heats the medium quickly and in a controlled manner up to 300 °C. Thanks to advanced control technology, temperature fluctuations are minimised, which is essential for reproducible viscosity measurements. Rapid heating (approx. 16 minutes to maximum temperature, depending on the medium) boosts efficiency in your day-to-day laboratory work.

Smart integration and documentation

For comprehensive rheological investigations, the viscometer and oven can be linked via the labworldsoft ® software (optional). This enables fully automated temperature ramps: measure how the viscosity of your product changes as it is slowly cooled or heated – and document everything comprehensively.
