Safe dispersion in a closed system: IKA S 18/25-ET50 disposable tube

The IKA S 18/25-ET50 (MPN 0003452500) is a practical single-use tube with a volume of 50 ml. It is the ideal addition for laboratories working with infectious, toxic or extremely odourous samples and which have the highest standards of safety and hygiene.

Function: Splash protection and contamination control

This tube has been specially developed for use with the disposable plastic dispersing tools from the IKA S 18 D and S 25 D series (compatible with the T 18 and T 25 drives).

• Easy to attach: The tube simply clips onto the shaft of the plastic tool.
• Sealed system: The precise fit creates a sealed chamber. The sample cannot splash out during homogenisation.
• Safety: It protects the user from hazardous aerosols and prevents contamination of the fume cupboard or the drive motor.
• No cross-contamination: As both the dispersing tool (S 18 D / S 25 D) and the tube are disposed of as a whole after use, sample carry-over (cross-contamination) is 100 per cent ruled out. Time-consuming cleaning and sterilisation are no longer necessary.

Material and application

The tube is made of robust polypropylene (PP). It is largely chemical-resistant and is ideally suited for applications in medical diagnostics, pharmaceutical research, forensics or food analysis, where sterile or single-sample conditions are required.
