Dispersing meat or vegetables in liquid: IKA recommends the S 25 EC - C - 25 G - ST (0025002590) for this purpose in food analysis. This easy-clean unit has a 25 mm stator diameter, a 20 mm rotor and processes volumes from 0.05 to 2 l.
Removing the shaft and rotor
After turning and lowering the clamp, the shaft and rotor fall out. The shaft tube can then be rinsed from the inside. The immersion depth is 35 to 150 mm, and the installation length is 191 mm.
Performance data
A maximum speed of 25,000 rpm is permitted, resulting in speeds of up to 26.2 m/s at the rotor circumference. The gap between the rotor and stator is 0.5 mm. The final particle size is 15 to 50 µm for suspensions and 1 to 10 µm for emulsions. The tool weighs 0.4 kg.
Bearings and materials
The shaft runs in a ceramic plain bearing; the parts in contact with the product are made of AISI 316L and ceramic. The tool is suitable for solvents and abrasive substances. The pH range is from 2 to 13, and the operating temperature is up to 180 °C. It may be sterilised using any method.
