The S 50 KG - HH - G 45 F (0008004100) handles 0.25 to 10 l with a 45 mm stator and a 40 mm rotor. The shaft is mounted on ball bearings; the single-acting mechanical seal consists of carbide against carbide. The T 50 digital serves as the drive.
Vacuum, pressure and media
With the mechanical seal, the unit is designed for vacuum down to 1 mbar and pressure up to 6 bar. Materials in contact with the product include FFPM, tungsten carbide (WC) and AISI 316L. IKA describes it as solvent-resistant. The maximum operating temperature is 150 °C; sterilisation is carried out using wet chemical methods.
Dimensions and final fineness
The immersion depth ranges from 70 to 250 mm, whilst the installation length is 290 mm. At a maximum peripheral speed of 20.9 m/s, the tool achieves final finenesses of 10 to 30 µm for suspensions and 1 to 10 µm for emulsions. It weighs 0.51 kg. At 40 mm, the rotor is larger than that of the S 50 KG - HH - G 45 G (36 mm), and the peripheral speed is correspondingly higher than its 18.8 m/s.
The same dimensions without a mechanical seal
With the same operating range and final particle size, but with PTFE bearings instead of a mechanical seal, there is the S 50 N - G 45 F is available. The immersion depth (70 to 250 mm) and overall length (290 mm) are the same as for this tool. Those working under vacuum should stick with the KG version.
Larger applications
The S 50 KG - HH - G 45 G, with a 36 mm rotor and a final fineness of 40 to 100 µm (suspensions), processes volumes of up to 20 l. The S 50 KG - HH - G 45 M covers volumes from 0.5 to 15 l and specifies 25 to 50 µm for suspensions and 5 to 20 µm for emulsions.

Fits
If a process in a beaker reaches its limits because 2 litres suddenly need to become 20, a drive with more power and a longer arm is required – but without having to switch to a completely different system. The T 50 digital ULTRA-TURRAX covers precisely this transition, from 0.25 to 30 litres (H₂O), with a speed range of 600 to 10,000 revolutions per minute. As with the smaller model, this is a drive unit only, without a dispersing tool.Constant speed even with varying viscosityThe electronic speed control maintains the set value even if the viscosity changes during the batch, with a maximum permissible viscosity of 5,000 mPas. A soft start reduces the start-up load, whilst electronic overload protection and an error code display ensure reliable operation. Without an attachment fitted, the noise level is 72 dB(A); the speed itself is displayed via an LED and can be adjusted continuously.Powerful drive for larger volumesWith a power input of 1,100 watts and an output of 700 watts, the T 50 digital significantly outperforms the smaller T 25 digital; the extension arm measures 16 millimetres in diameter and 220 millimetres in length. Measuring 115 x 355 x 139 millimetres and weighing 5.85 kilograms, the machine can still be guided by hand. It operates on 220 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz; a voltage variant of 100 to 120 volts is also available. It has an IP 20 protection rating in accordance with DIN EN 60529, and is suitable for ambient temperatures of 5 to 40 degrees Celsius with up to 80 per cent relative humidity.Tool change using the supplied wrenchesA socket wrench for changing the shaft and another for changing the dispersing tool are supplied with the drive unit; the dispersing tool itself is not included and must be selected to suit the application.
