The S 65 KD - G 65 M (0010000642) can process up to 40 l of water on a T 65 digital. There is a gap of 0.5 mm between the 65 mm stator and the 58 mm rotor; at 9,500 rpm, the rotor circumference reaches 28.8 m/s.
Seals and materials
The shaft runs in a ball bearing with a PTFE seal and an FFKM O-ring. Materials in contact with the product are FFPM, PTFE and AISI 316L. Solvents are permitted; the pH range is from 2 to 13. Under vacuum, the tool may be used down to 100 mbar; the maximum operating temperature is 170 °C. Sterilisation is carried out using a wet chemical process.
Fineness and dimensions
The final fineness ranges from 20 to 50 µm for suspensions and 5 to 15 µm for emulsions. The immersion depth is 80 to 450 mm, and the installation length is 520 mm. Batches of 2,000 to 40,000 ml are recommended. The tool weighs 4.21 kg.

Same geometry, different seal
The S 65 KG - HH - G 65 M has the same geometry (65 mm stator, 58 mm rotor, 0.5 mm gap) with a mechanical seal, which allows a vacuum down to 1 mbar and has an installation length of 510 mm. The S 65 C - G 65 M uses ceramic instead of PTFE and also operates with volumes of 2 to 40 l, but is not designed for vacuum. The S 65 KD - G 65 F is available for batches of up to 30 l with particle sizes of 5 to 20 µm in suspensions. The S 65 KD - G 65 G operates with a 53 mm rotor and handles batches of up to 50 l.

Fits
The T 65 digital ULTRA-TURRAX is designed for the transition from the laboratory to the pilot plant, for batches of 2 to 50 litres (H₂O) with a power consumption of 2,600 watts. Unlike the smaller units in the T series, it does not run on a single-phase laboratory power supply, but requires a three-phase connection of 3 x 400 volts, which must be installed by a qualified electrician. Anyone planning this connection should take this into account at the installation stage.For the transition from laboratory to pilot plantThree different rotor-stator geometries cover a range of applications from fine dispersion to coarse pre-comminution; a plug-in coupling allows tool changes to be made on the drive without the need for additional tools. Depending on the configuration, the stainless steel dispersing tools can also be used under vacuum and overpressure, provided the relevant accessories are designed for this purpose. The speed range extends from 1,000 to 9,500 rpm with a tolerance of 3 per cent, displayed via a 7-segment LED display; an error code display assists with troubleshooting during operation.Performance data for high throughputsWith a power input of 2,600 watts and an output power of 2,200 watts, the T 65 digital significantly outperforms the smaller T 25 and T 50 models; the maximum viscosity is 5,000 mPas. Measuring 300 x 420 x 400 millimetres and weighing 35 kilograms, the unit is designed for a fixed installation rather than portable use; without tools, the noise level is 75 dB(A). The IP 54 protection rating in accordance with DIN EN 60529 is noticeably higher than the IP 20 rating of the smaller T-series units, thereby allowing use in more demanding environments; permissible ambient temperatures range from 5 to 40 degrees Celsius with up to 80 per cent relative humidity.Power connection: three-phase and to be carried out only by a qualified electricianThe mains connection is 3 x 400 volts at 50 or 60 hertz; alternatively, a 3 x 230-volt version is available.
