The IKA T 10 battery ULTRA-TURRAX ® (MPN 0020103418) is the first battery-powered, fully cordless disperser from IKA. This highly optimised mechatronic liquid-handling system has been specially developed for processing very small sample volumes ranging from 0.5 ml to 100 ml (based on water). Thanks to its ultra-compact, portable design, the system does not require a fixed power supply during operation. This makes the homogeniser ideal for mobile on-site sampling, point-of-care diagnostics or as a flexible tissue homogeniser for the gentle disruption of complex biological cell structures directly in microcentrifuge tubes.

Numerical precision and gentle intermittent operation

The process control of the T 10 battery allows for stepless and highly precise adjustment of the rotational speed across a wide range from 8,000 to 30,000 revolutions per minute. All transient operating parameters can be read off and controlled with numerical precision via the integrated, high-resolution TFT display. To guarantee highly reproducible validation series, the system features integrated timer and counter functions. The mechatronic design is optimised for controlled intermittent operation (10 minutes of continuous operation followed by a 5-minute cooling phase), which effectively prevents the brushless DC motor from overheating and ensures maximum service life.

Flexible power management and broad material compatibility

The integrated, rechargeable lithium-ion battery offers maximum independence in day-to-day laboratory work and can be charged via two flexible options: either directly via the future-proof USB-C interface or via an optional, stationary charging cradle. An extensive range of application-specific dispersing tools is available for the T 10 battery. Whether blunt-edged, serrated, made of stainless steel or sterile plastic versions – the system can be flexibly adapted to any chemical or biological requirement matrix.
