Safe mincing and homogenisation of tissue samples

The IKA UTTD basic Tissue Solution is a specialised all-in-one package designed primarily for the processing of human, animal or plant tissue samples. At its heart is the globally unique ULTRA-TURRAX ® Tube Drive basic (UTTD), a universal single-use dispersion system. The device operates with hermetically sealable single-use vessels, making it the ideal solution for infectious, toxic or strongly odourous sample material. Cross-contamination is systematically ruled out by the single-use principle.

Powerful and user-friendly

The UTTD basic’s motor offers a wide speed range from 300 to 6,000 rpm, which can be adjusted continuously. This enables both gentle mixing and powerful grinding and dispersion in a single operation. The system is compact, space-saving and intuitive to operate. Thanks to its high level of safety and reproducibility, it is ideally suited to single-run applications in pathology, cancer research or microbiology, where sterile conditions and operator safety are top priorities.

Versatile applications thanks to tube technology

The “Tissue Solution” package is characterised by the specialised tubes it contains. The tubes serve simultaneously as processing, transport and storage units, eliminating the need for decanting and minimising sample loss. Depending on the tube selected (stirring, dispersing or grinding tube), liquids can be mixed, tissue homogenised or hard materials broken down using glass or stainless steel beads.
