Sterile homogenisation for life science applications

The IKA UTTD control Life Science Solution is the specialised dispersion package for demanding tasks in biology, medicine and pharmaceutical research. Unlike conventional systems, this solution utilises the patented single-use principle with the DT-20 dispersing vessels. These are equipped with a rotor-stator element that enables the efficient and rapid homogenisation of soft tissue samples, suspensions or cell material – whilst providing absolute protection against cross-contamination.

Maximum process control and documentation

At the heart of the set is the powerful ULTRA-TURRAX ® Tube Drive P control. This drive not only offers speeds of up to 8,000 rpm but also full digital control. Via the integrated USB interface, test procedures can be controlled from a PC and documented in full – a fundamental requirement for GLP-compliant work. Programmable test conditions, a timer function and the turbo button for short-term power peaks guarantee maximum reproducibility of your results.

Safety through a hermetically sealed system

The DT-20 tubes included in the scope of delivery serve simultaneously as a dispersion vessel, sample container and storage unit. Thanks to the hermetic seal, no aerosols escape, which reliably protects the user from infectious or toxic substances. Samples can be added or removed hygienically via the pierceable membrane in the lid. This saves time, reduces cleaning effort to zero and significantly increases safety in the laboratory.
