Specialised solution for pharmaceutical quality control

The IKA UTTD control Pharma Solution is a bespoke package for pharmaceutical laboratories that need to prepare solid dosage forms such as tablets, capsules or pellets for analysis. The system addresses one of the biggest challenges in the pharmaceutical industry: preventing cross-contamination between batches. The use of the patented single-use dispersion system completely eliminates the need for time-consuming cleaning validation of parts that come into contact with the product, which drastically reduces process costs in quality control.

Reproducible digestion for active ingredient analysis

The ULTRA-TURRAX ® Tube Drive P control included in the set offers the necessary power and precision for critical tests, such as testing for uniformity of content. With speeds of up to 8,000 rpm and programmable test sequences, complete and standardised dissolution or dispersion of the sample matrix is ensured. This forms the basis for precise HPLC or UV-VIS analyses of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

Documentation and safety

The Control version of the drive features a USB interface that enables the seamless recording of all process parameters (time, speed, energy input) – essential for GLP-compliant work and audits. The hermetically sealed system also protects laboratory staff from toxic dusts or highly potent substances during the grinding process. The “Pharma Solution” package comes with a bulk pack (50 units) of the tried-and-tested DT-20 dispersion vessels, enabling even higher sample throughputs to be handled efficiently.
