Memmert IF750bw ceiling heater, 749 L, +80 °C, Class I medical device

With an internal capacity of 749 litres, the Memmert IF750bw blanket warmer is the largest and most powerful model in the IF-bw series and reliably and evenly heats non-sterile cloths and blankets to temperatures between +20 and +80 °C. Up to 14 trays can be loaded simultaneously, meaning the unit reliably meets the needs of larger facilities with a high, continuous throughput of pre-warmed textiles, without the need to operate several smaller units in parallel.

Maximum capacity for high throughput

With internal dimensions of 1040 × 1200 × 600 mm, the IF750bw accommodates up to 14 trays with a maximum total load of 300 kg; each tray can hold up to 30 kg. Two stainless steel wire mesh racks are included as standard. A protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating system, together with an electronically controlled, low-noise air turbine, ensures even temperature distribution, even when fully loaded. With external dimensions of 1224 × 1720 × 784 mm and a net weight of around 217 kg, the IF750bw is clearly designed as a central floor-standing unit for continuous operation at a fixed location.

SingleDISPLAY, digital countdown timer and network connectivity

An adaptive, multifunctional PID microprocessor controller with a TFT colour graphic display (SingleDISPLAY) controls the unit, whilst a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor with 4-wire measurement ensures a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C. A digital countdown timer ranging from 1 minute to 99 days allows for precise scheduling of heating cycles. The data from the integrated data logger can be managed via the Ethernet interface; a USB port with the AtmoCONTROL software is available as an option to document processes even more conveniently, for example to verify that a specific temperature range was maintained throughout the entire period.

Safety and self-diagnosis

The IF750bw monitors the temperature electronically and additionally via a mechanical temperature limiter. An integrated self-diagnostic and fault-finding system reports faults at an early stage, enabling reliable monitoring of operation even during continuous, round-the-clock use and allowing timely intervention before a fault disrupts ongoing operations.

Certified safety as a medical device

The IF750bw is a Class I medical device and is certified accordingly to VDE, GS, CE and UL standards. This classification is lower than that of the Memmert hot-air sterilisers in the SF and SN series, which are classified as Class IIb medical devices because the latter are used directly for sterilisation. For organisations that prioritise tested, documented equipment safety even with larger units, the Class I classification is an additional mark of quality.

Flexible operation at 230 V or 115 V, ready for dispatch

With a power consumption of around 2000 W at 230 V or around 1800 W at 115 V, the IF750bw can be operated depending on the power supply available at the site of use. For transport, the unit is designed with packaging dimensions of 1330 × 1910 × 1050 mm and a gross weight of around 288 kg – details that can be used in advance to plan delivery, access routes and the installation site.

Largest model in the IF-bw series

The IF750bw represents the upper capacity limit of Memmert’s IF-bw ceiling heater range. If the smaller models – the IF110bw (108 litres), IF260bw (256 litres) or IF450bw (449 litres) – no longer meet the actual requirements of a facility, the IF750bw, featuring the same SingleDISPLAY operating logic, offers the largest possible internal capacity within the entire series.
