For those who wish to benefit from the process reliability of TwinDISPLAY without immediately investing in a larger model, the Memmert universal oven UF75plus offers a compact solution: 74 litres’ internal volume, a temperature range of 20 to 300 °C and two redundant Pt100 sensors that monitor each other. If one sensor fails, the second automatically takes over. With up to 6 shelves and a maximum total load capacity of 120 kg, the UF75plus remains compact enough for the laboratory bench.

Forced air circulation with redundant temperature measurement in a compact design

The UF75plus’s air turbine, which can be electronically controlled in 10 % increments, actively distributes heat throughout the chamber and operates within a temperature range of at least 10 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C. Two DIN Class A Pt100 sensors in a 4-wire configuration monitor each other and ensure a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards, even if one of the two sensors fails. Preheated fresh air is introduced via an electronically adjustable exhaust air damper; the exhaust air outlet with throttle valve can also be controlled electronically.

ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY: HeatBALANCE and AutoSAFETY

The UF75plus is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY, which features two high-resolution TFT colour graphic displays. The HeatBALANCE function allows for fine-tuning of the heat output distribution between the upper and lower heating groups from -50 to +50 %. AutoSAFETY also monitors over- and under-temperature conditions, automatically tracks the setpoint within a freely selectable tolerance range and triggers visual and audible alarms in the event of a deviation; if the setpoint is exceeded, the heating system switches off. Programmes are programmed, managed and transferred via an Ethernet interface or USB port using the AtmoCONTROL software. A programmable door lock and a door-open detection feature can be added as options, functions that are exclusive to TwinDISPLAY units.

Capacity and dimensions of the Memmert universal oven UF75plus

The interior measures 400 x 560 x 330 mm; the external dimensions of the housing are 585 x 944 x 514 mm, and the net weight is approximately 66 kg, identical to that of the base model UF75. Two electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard; up to six shelves are possible in total. The maximum total load is 120 kg, with a maximum of 20 kg per shelf. The interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The UF75plus can be connected either to 230 V (approx. 2,500 W) or 115 V (approx. 1,800 W), in each case at 50/60 Hz.

Selection guide: choosing the right size from the UF range

The Memmert UF range with forced air circulation comprises eight models with internal volumes ranging from 53 to 1,060 litres, each of which is also available with TwinDISPLAY. When selecting the right size, the key factors to consider, alongside the volume, are the footprint and the number of shelves required.

The UF75plus is the obvious choice when the Memmert universal oven UF55plus (53 litres) reaches its capacity limit, but you still wish to use TwinDISPLAY. Those who can do without sensor redundancy can save money by opting for the identically built Memmert universal oven UF75 in the basic model with SingleDISPLAY. For samples sensitive to dust or air movement that cannot tolerate active air circulation, the Memmert universal oven UN75plus offers the same housing with natural convection instead of an air turbine, and still features TwinDISPLAY. Those requiring less internal volume will find the Memmert universal oven UF55plus, the more compact TwinDISPLAY model with the same footprint.

Safety according to DIN 12880, enhanced by AutoSAFETY

In addition to the adjustable electronic temperature monitoring and AutoSAFETY, the UF75plus is fitted with a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, which switches off the heating when the temperature reaches approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. The display also allows you to select either an adjustable temperature monitor (protection class 3.1) or an adjustable temperature limiter (protection class 2). An integrated self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. The unit bears CE and EAC markings as well as a UL mark.

Installation, operation and disposal

For operation, a minimum distance of 15 cm from the wall and a minimum distance of 20 cm from the ceiling must be maintained; a minimum of 5 cm is sufficient on either side in relation to the wall or an adjacent unit. The unit may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 40 °C and a relative humidity of no more than 80 %, non-condensing. Electrically, the UF75plus is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. The interior, made of easy-to-clean stainless steel, can be cleaned using standard laboratory cleaning agents. As an electrical appliance, the UF75plus is subject to the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste; see Regulatory information below.
