Macherey-Nagel VISOCOLOR Fish reagent case, 933101

Product information "Macherey-Nagel VISOCOLOR Fish reagent case, 933101"

The VISOCOLOR Fish analysis kit has been specially developed for the analysis of fishing waters. It combines reagents and accessories for the six most important water parameters in a single set: ammonium, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, pH and total hardness.

Six key parameters for water quality

Anyone wishing to assess fishing waters can hardly avoid these six parameters: ammonium, nitrate and nitrite indicate nitrogen loading and thus, indirectly, the condition of the fish population; phosphate indicates nutrient inputs and algal growth; whilst pH and total hardness provide the basic data for almost any further hydrological assessment. With a single kit, the most important parameters for a fishing water assessment can be covered directly on site, without having to put together several individual tests.

Use in fish farming, club waters and water monitoring

Whether monitoring an aquaculture pond, carrying out a routine check by an angling or fishing club on its own waters, or taking a random sample as part of official water monitoring: the kit provides the key parameters needed to identify pollution issues at an early stage, before they endanger fish stocks. As all the tests can be carried out without an additional photometer, the kit can be used directly at the water body, without a power connection or sensitive additional equipment.

Ready for immediate on-site use

The kit includes a case, test kits, accessories and instructions. Results are interpreted purely visually by colour comparison. The reagents have a shelf life of 1.5 years from the date of manufacture and should be stored at 15–25 °C to ensure that results remain reliable throughout their entire service life.

Macherey-Nagel Compact Photometer PF-12Plus for water analysis, including case and software, 919250
Manufacturer number: 919250

The Macherey-Nagel PF-12Plus compact photometer is a highly advanced, optoelectronic system solution for the precise, mobile and stationary analysis of water, wastewater and environmental samples. As a portable laboratory instrument, this photometer combines state-of-the-art filter photometry with a high degree of flexibility, whether used directly at the point of interest (POI) or in a traditional laboratory setting. When monitoring critical water parameters, industrial process water flows or municipal sewage treatment works, the accurate and rapid determination of substance concentrations is the primary criterion for documenting and controlling statutory limit values in a way that is gentle on materials, comprehensive and process-reliable. The optical architecture of the PF-12Plus is based on a long-life xenon flash lamp and a precisely matched sensor system with seven integrated interference filters. This spectral configuration enables reliable coverage of all relevant wavelengths for the evaluation of Macherey-Nagel’s renowned VISOCOLOR® ECO and NANOCOLOR® tube tests. An outstanding mechatronic safety feature is the integrated nephelometric turbidity measurement (NTU-Check). This advanced control function automatically detects interfering turbidity in the sample cuvette during the measurement process and reliably alerts the user to potential measurement errors, an invaluable advantage for analytical validity in harsh field conditions. The photometer’s mechatronic system architecture is consistently designed for user ergonomics and flexibility under changing environmental conditions. Over 100 pre-programmed methods for common parameters (such as ammonium, nitrate, nitrite, COD, phosphorus or heavy metals) enable direct measurement without time-consuming calibration cycles. The splash-proof housing and intuitive menu navigation via the large, backlit graphic display allow laboratory and service staff to handle it safely. Thanks to flexible power management (optionally via batteries, rechargeable batteries, the integrated USB cable or an external power supply), uninterrupted operational readiness in the field is permanently ensured. For documentation in GLP and GMP environments, the PF-12Plus features an internal data memory for up to 1,000 measurement results, including time, date and sample ID stamps. Via the integrated USB interface, the measurement data can be transferred to the free NANOCOLOR® PC export software. This enables digital archiving, statistical analysis and the convenient creation of certificates of analysis. The simple option to independently verify instrument calibrations using certified test solutions meets the highest requirements of audited quality management systems. Smart Photometry: Operation in the laboratory The NANOCOLOR UV/VIS II heralds a new era in water and wastewater analysis. As a high-precision spectrophotometer with a wavelength range of 190 to 1,100 nm, it combines high-end analysis with a user experience familiar from your smartphone or tablet. The centrepiece is the brilliant 10.1-inch HD touchscreen, which makes complex measurement procedures child’s play thanks to an intuitive, icon-based menu system. Integrated quality assurance and safety The instrument includes a fully automatic turbidity control function (NTU-Check). As turbidity in samples is often not visually detectable but can significantly distort measurement results, the NANOCOLOR UV/VIS II automatically measures turbidity during every analysis and alerts the user in the event of interference. The integrated test equipment monitoring and the direct generation of internal quality control (IQC) charts (e.g. according to DWA-A 704) directly within the instrument facilitate audits and support process reliability. Connectivity and versatility The instrument is equipped for the modern laboratory environment: it features all relevant interfaces (LAN, RS232, USB) for seamless integration with laboratory information management systems (LIMS). The integrated 2D barcode scanner automatically recognises cuvette tests, selects the method and performs the measurement, without any manual intervention. In addition to standard routine tests, comprehensive colour measurements, real-time scans and specialised brewery analysis (MEBAK) are pre-installed.
