Elma Elmasonic Easy 100H Ultrasonic Bath with Heating, 9.5 Litre, 37 kHz, 1118896

Carburettors, filters and industrial components are on Elma's list of items cleaned with the Easy series, as are grinding and polishing pastes, chips and flux as contamination. For this, the Elma Elmasonic Easy 100H has a tank with 9.5 litres total volume and internal dimensions of 280 x 220 x 145 mm. Unlike the models up to 40H, it has a drain connection, and the hose nozzle is included.

Drain, hose connection and drain strainer

The G 3/8 inch drain connection is opened and closed with a rotary knob, and the hose connection has an internal diameter of 12 mm. The hose for waste water disposal is not part of the scope of delivery. A stainless steel drain strainer (Art. 1045648) is available as an accessory for sizes 30 to 300.

Power and heating

The ultrasound has 150 W effective power and 600 W peak at 37 kHz. The heater delivers 400 W, and the total power consumption is 550 W. The temperature range extends from 25 to 80 °C, and at a bath temperature of 90 °C the unit switches off as a safety measure. With lid at a distance of 1 m, the sound pressure level is below 80 dB(A). Two modes are available, Eco and Dynamic, with Eco the quieter and Dynamic the more intensive.

Basket, fill level and lid

The fill level is 115 mm, and 6.8 litres of working volume are recommended. The modular cleaning basket 100 (Art. 1113387) has internal dimensions of 250 x 195 x 90 mm and may be loaded with up to 6.0 kg, and 85 mm remain between the basket floor and the liquid level. Lids available are the stainless steel lid 100/120 (Art. 1111932) and plastic lid 100/120 in three colours (Art. 1003285, 1101133, 1071697). The insert lid 1 (Art. 1111909) holds four cleaning glasses or beakers, and a cooling coil (Art. 1037515) is also available.

Operation without a display

The rotary knob for the cleaning duration also switches the unit on and off, and ultrasonic cleaning is started and stopped with the start/stop button. The steps are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 minutes, plus ON for continuous operation with a stop after 6 hours at most. A second rotary knob sets the temperature, the mode button switches between Eco and Dynamic, and LEDs show the status. After 8 hours without operation the unit switches off. The Easy series has no programs, nor Sweep, Pulse or Degas.

Between 40H and 120H

The Easy 40H holds 3.9 litres and has no drain, whereas the 100H has a drain with hose nozzle. It weighs 5.9 kg (with lid) and measures 380 x 315 x 280 mm externally. The Easy 120H has, at almost the same footprint (275 x 215 mm instead of 280 x 220 mm), a tank 50 mm deeper in height, 12.9 litres, 200 W ultrasonic power and a fan.
