Heidolph Hei-FLOW Ultimate 120 Multi Peristaltic Pump, 5 to 120 rpm, Multi-channel, Volumetric Dosing, 523-52013-00

With the Hei-FLOW Ultimate 120 Multi, programmed dosing volumes and parallel multi-channel operation are not mutually exclusive. The drive comes with the multi-channel adapter as standard and also features a digital display, volume and interval dosing, and an RS232 interface, with a speed range of 5 to 120 revolutions per minute. As the multi-channel variant of the Ultimate 120, it thus combines two configuration levels that would otherwise have to be selected separately.

Multi-channel operation with digital dosing

With a multi-channel pump head, the flow rate ranges from 0.005 to 329 millilitres per minute; with a single-channel pump head, it ranges from 0.36 to 813 millilitres per minute. Volume dosing between 0.001 and 9,999 millilitres, as well as interval dosing with pause times ranging from 0.1 seconds to 750 hours, can be programmed via the digital display; the dosing accuracy is ± 1 per cent.

Two interfaces, one footswitch connection

The digital RS-232 interface complements the analogue interface (0 to 10 V or 4 to 20 mA); both transmit speed, direction of rotation and start/stop signals to a higher-level control system. An optional foot switch allows dosing to be controlled by foot pressure; soft start and an electronic brake round off the control system and reduce pressure surges on start-up as well as coasting effects when stopping each individual channel.

Accessories for multi-channel operation

The multi-channel cassettes are available in three sizes, along with multi-channel pump heads featuring 4, 8 or 12 channels. Tubing materials range from silicone to PharMed and Viton, through to various Tygon grades for hydrocarbons or foodstuffs, each with a wall thickness of 1.6 or 2.5 millimetres. For smaller cassettes, matching 2-stopper tubing and extension tubing are also available in the same material variants, enabling even narrow channel spacing to be achieved.

Selection guide within the Hei-FLOW range

For those who do not require multi-channel operation, the Hei-FLOW Ultimate 120 offers the same digital electronics without an integrated adapter. If an analogue interface without dosing functions is sufficient, the Hei-FLOW Expert 120 Multi is the simpler alternative within the same speed range. For single-channel operation at significantly higher flow rates, the Hei-FLOW Ultimate 600 is available with speeds ranging from 24 to 600 revolutions per minute; for a more cost-effective multi-channel solution without a digital display, the Hei-FLOW Core 120 Multi is available.
