Heidolph Hei-PLATE Sensor Advanced Package Core Magnetic Stirrer Set, Ø145 mm, with Contact Thermometer, 506-11157-00

For those who wish to stir and heat using two control knobs in the laboratory and read the temperature directly from the vessel, the Sensor Advanced Package Core offers a ready-to-use combination of an analogue magnetic stirrer and an external contact thermometer. The package is based on the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core, which has a footprint of 145 millimetres, and supplements it with an EKT Hei-Con electronic contact thermometer complete with a holder, as well as a silicone cover for everyday use.

Two rotary knobs, a thermometer in the medium

The Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core included in the package allows speed and temperature to be set via a scale, up to a maximum of 1,400 revolutions per minute and 300 degrees Celsius. The heating function can be activated separately from the stirring function and is then indicated by a light on the rotary knob. A visual residual heat warning from 50 degrees Celsius and a generous gap between the heating plate and the control panel protect against burns. The base unit itself has no temperature display and no Pt1000 connection; the pack provides the missing component: The EKT Hei-Con electronic contact thermometer reads the temperature in the medium and, when used in conjunction with the magnetic stirrer, covers a display and measurement range from minus 80 to 350 degrees Celsius.

What’s included in the package

The magnetic stirrer itself has the order number 506-11100-00 and is also available separately in the product range. The EKT Hei-Con contact thermometer is included with a mounting bracket, transforming the basic heating stirrer into a system with temperature control within the medium rather than just on the heating plate. The silicone cover, with order number 23-07-06-05-76, protects the work surface from splashes and dirt between uses and extends the service life of the patented Kera-Disk heating plate made from anodised aluminium.

Selection guide: analogue or digital control

If you want an LCD display directly on the unit and a digitally readable Pt1000 probe, you’ll find the right combination in the Sensor Basic Core+ package or, with an additional mount and silicone cover, in the Sensor Advanced Core+ package. Both are based on the digital Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+ and feature two selectable heating modes. This package retains the simpler rotary knob operation of the Core model.

Warranty and procurement service

Heidolph Scientific Products GmbH, Schwabach, provides a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This excludes glass and wear parts, damage caused during transport and damage resulting from improper use. If the appliance is registered with Heidolph, the warranty commences on the date of purchase; otherwise, it commences on the date of manufacture as indicated by the serial number. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected. Heidolph offers a 10-year warranty on the Hei-PLATE series magnetic stirrer included in the pack, provided the instrument is registered with Heidolph within the first year of purchase. This extended warranty does not apply to the contact thermometer and the silicone cover, which are sold as accessories. If required, the LT Laborhandel procurement service can arrange for additional mixing vessels, holders or a replacement silicone cover for the magnetic stirrer.
