Heidolph Titramax Package: Platform Shaker Set, with Heating Module and Incubation Hood, 544-12209-00

If you want to shake samples whilst maintaining a constant temperature, you’ll need more than just the platform shaker on its own. The Titramax package combines the Titramax 1000 with the Incubator 1000 heating module and a flat incubation hood to form a ready-to-use incubation system, without the need to assemble the three components individually.

Three components, one system

The package includes the Titramax 1000 platform shaker (order number 544-12200-00), the Inkubator 1000 heating module (order number 549-90010-00) with a heating power of 300 watts and a temperature of up to 65 degrees Celsius, and a flat incubation hood that completes the assembly at the top. The heating module is positioned beneath the shaker and heats the interior space beneath the hood evenly, enabling even thermophilic organisms to be incubated. The flat hood covers the top of the Titramax 1000’s working area and retains the heat inside, whilst the platform below continues to operate. Anyone requiring a taller configuration, for example for larger vessels requiring agitation and heating, can order the tall incubation hood separately; it is listed on the manufacturer’s website as a standalone accessory. The ambient temperature range for the shaker is 5 to 31 degrees Celsius at up to 80 per cent relative humidity; at higher temperatures up to 40 degrees Celsius, the permissible humidity decreases linearly to 50 per cent. The unit is designed for installation at altitudes of up to 2,000 metres above sea level.

Advantages over a standalone shaker

The Titramax 1000 on its own agitates samples at room temperature on a working area of 290 x 258 millimetres for up to six microtitre plates, with a 1.5-millimetre orbit and 150 to 1,350 revolutions per minute. The package also includes temperature control; agitation and heating operate simultaneously, which shortens processes that would otherwise require a separate incubator. Those who already own the shaker and simply wish to retrofit it can order the heating module and hood separately; those starting from scratch save time by avoiding the need to match individual components with the package. Within the 1000 series, this combination has so far only been confirmed by the manufacturer for the Titramax 1000; the smaller models, the Titramax 100 and Titramax 101, do not have their own accessory link for the heating module.

Warranty and procurement service

Heidolph Scientific Products GmbH, Schwabach, provides a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This excludes glass and wear parts, damage caused during transport and damage resulting from improper use. If the appliance is registered with Heidolph, the warranty begins on the date of purchase; otherwise, it begins on the date of manufacture as indicated by the serial number.
